I've got a work meeting in CT and will be taking the Rivian. If it weren't an overnight, I could make it back without a stop, but will have to stop either on the way there or on the way back assuming there will be some phantom drain with gear guard. There's no non-Tesla fast charger in the area so thank goodness for the open network!

As for the Rivian, I would love one and the quad motor to me is something I would pay for but I’m still not ready for full EV adoption until the charging network is built out way more than it is right now.

I was traveling yesterday for work and passed a home on backwoods highway where the owner had a Ford Lightning (current gen and 1st gen). I googled the closest supercharging station from the Lightning’s home which was 48 miles away. So safe to say he charges exclusively at home.

Battery drain while the truck is sitting unplugged in the parking lot. Gear guard is the dashcam and it typically drains a few percent overnight

Does the Ioniq have anything like sentry mode or gear guard? Recording events is the only real power draw. If I let it go to sleep completely I wouldn't get much drain
