Okay but what does this have to do with Ford ignoring every stationary object above 62mph?
Ok let me spell this out for you.
Phantom braking = bad
Ignoring stuff to reduce phantom braking = worse
Edit: to finish the thought.
Therefore, if the 'solution' to phantom braking is to ignore items above 62 mph and increase the risk of crashing into road debris then phantom braking = not as bad as the Ford 'solution'
While getting a couple bubbles out of the window tint on the X7, guy pulls in with this hummer. Said he just bought it day before and this is his 2nd one. Turns out he’s a field engineer for GM and he told me the EV market isn’t going anywhere. Far as the hummer he previously had the SUV but wanted a truck so now he has this one.
He said he gets around 381 miles on a full charge. Far as charging he said he uses Tesla and EA charging stations and uses his Level 2 at home. With such a big battery he said by morning, it’s usually enough charge to get him throughout his day.
He also owns some couple gas cars with one of them being a G8 with the 6.0. I forgot the other gas vehicle he has but he rides motorcycles as well. That was my first time seeing hummer up close. Pretty cool vehicle. He said he changes work vehicles every 30k miles. I asked him what will he be getting next and he said probably the Silverado EV. Overall pretty cool dude. We exchanged contact information.

"Turns out he’s a field engineer for GM and he told me the EV market isn’t going anywhere"
What does that mean? That it's going to continue to grow or that it literally "isn't going anywhere"?

Cool you met with him. Thanks for sharing!
Didn’t really specify but he seems like he’s a car guy. He has both gas and EVs. He’s into racing as well. He races motorcycles as I used to as well. He said he wanted to get a Tesla but he at the time he said they weren’t running the free unlimited supercharging special.
I’m sure there’s an incentive to owning a GM EV.
I’ll throw this in, I’m sitting talking to my friend who has the Prologue EV. It’s his first EV. He said he likes it. Said it’s basically a Blazer that Honda collaborated with. He said his electric bill doubled so he charges at work instead.

I'm just trying to figure out what that statement means. He's either telling you 1) The EV market is doing really well or is stable and isn't going anywhere or 2) The EV market is on the downswing and we are all wasting our time building EV's. No pressure here 😆
I live in state where electricity is EXPENSIVE, we have a crooked utility company that keeps raising rates, protected by a corrupt Governor, and mine doubled as well when I started charging my cars, but it was still more than 50 percent cheaper than gas fill-up's. About $40 to $50 a month per car vs $70 or $80 a week per car. Take out the cost of maint as well. But again, no pressure @BayeauxLex
Really? How much does he drive? We barely noticed any difference. It's actually cheaper now that we got rid of our hot tub.
I’m not sure. He said he charges once a week at work. He’s a car salesman so he’s basically at work all day so charging once a week works for him. He mentioned his electric bill went from $150 to $300 from charging at home using his dryer plug. He lives maybe 5-7 min from work. He hinted at his next vehicle will be a fun vehicle (RS3/ FL5/etc). His previous car was a FK8. The lease on his Prologue was dirt cheap. Gas is $2.35 here. He said if he lived somewhere where gas was more expensive (looking at you California) he would definitely keep an EV.
I didn’t get a chance to peek inside his car. Forgot his keys inside. Factory 21 inch wheels. Biggest wheels ever on a Honda.

Wait, I thought he has an Hummer EV. I'm confused now
Hummer guy said charging is a non issue. He has Level 2 at home over the road and he fast charges at Tesla and EA stations when he’s traveling.
My friend with the Honda Prologue. First EV. Tried charging at him. Electricity bill doubled. So now he charges once a week at the dealership. Great deal on the Prologue lease.

Ok, that's crazy. I just checked and we spent $370 in the past 12 months, but 6% was with expensive supercharging. I'm guessing your friend lives in a state where electricity is really expensive. Do you know what his rate per kWh is? Ours is just under .12 cents per kWh here, with no peak/off-peak nonsense.

I think it’s around .11 - .12 cents as well. No such thing as on/off peak. Prologue looks good on exterior. Wish I could’ve checked out the interior.
Hey @AMIRZA786 my other friend with the M3LR and MYLR switched over to Geico and saved like around $1200 over 6 months on his car insurance.
