I assume all do. My SUV had a plugged drainage system, there are drains that run down the A pillar. When they plug, the water finds a way into the interior
foot wheels. So they need to be cleaned out every once in a while.

I can't wait until mine inevitably leaks, breaks or does something weird lol.
Yeah. Upon closer inspection it looks like a poorly installed seal. Just never thought to look that closely at it. They had to delay our original service pickup because they messed up the glass and needed to wait for a replacement. It was a new service center with what I'm assuming now was new staff so I'm heading to one of the oldest stations in our area and hopefully they can do it properly
You only keep cars for 2-3 years so it's unlikely you'll experience a leak/crack etc.
I have a challenge for you. Keep your next car for 12 years and we'll check back in 2037. I guarantee you'll have a leak.
Allen doesn't have a sun roof leak, but a leak from an improperly installed glass roof when they replaced it. There is no drainage like a sunroof, only channels for the water to roll off. Once they either replace or reseal the roof properly, it won't be an issue anymore
I still think a slick top is so much better. I would actually pay extra to not have a sunroof.
Since 2006, I've had four cars with sunroof's, and probably between the four cars I maybe opened the sunroof 5 or 6 times over the years. I always thought they were cool, but since I never open them anyway, I also prefer a straight, slick roof
BTW @LH1 , how's the IS500 doing? It's the one performance Lexus I've never driven yet (as well as LFA). I've driven ISF, GSF, LC500, RCF etc. When it first came out, I went to a Lexus driving event to see if I could drive one, but sadly they didn't have one available
Ive never had a sunroof leak in all the many cars I have had with them.

LOL
if you experience a leaky sunroof, grab some trimmer wire , locate your drain holes on the side of your sunroof and use the trimmer wire to push the dirt or whatever is clogging your drain. Pull the wire out, test with a bottle of water. Pour water down the drain holes. Should instantly see water drain underneath your vehicle.

That drainage is actually draining the HVAC, has nothing to do with outside water. I had a spider die in my drainage pipe, and I started to get a moldy smell in backseat area, where the water was starting to accumulate. It was a pain in the you know what to clear it out, and I had to get the rear carpets steam cleaned

It's great and I'm glad I got it when I did. The 2UR sounds great.
I have to be honest though, the suspension is quite soft and it's a decent handling car but if you drove it right after your friends M4, you'd be disappointed. If you can accept the flaws this car has it's worth it.

The suspension is an easy fix, although probably not a cheap one. I was able to address the soft suspension on my IS350 with some mods like moving to tighter bushings, braces and F-sport lowering springs. But to be totally honest, I would probably be totally happy with the IS500's suspension as I like soft rides, especially with the bad roads here made worse by rainstorms we've been having
