I wouldn't buy a Prius if it was the most reliable car that exists. No offense to Prius owners. I'll take my less reliable Tesla's (yet more efficient, technically advanced, faster, smoother) any day of the week 👍
.. Energy prices are relatively cheap in Tennessee. Very few have solar panels on their roofs around here. TVA is majority gas and nuclear, followed by coal, hydro and a bit of solar/wind. I also have a home in California. Energy prices are crazy there.
@ChattanoogaPhil are there any fees on top of the cost of electricity in Tenn or in Cali?

I'm not going to get into Toyota reliability here except to say, if I ever bought another Toyota/Lexus product, it would be a 2021 and older. I think most current/former Lexus owners would agree as it seems a lot here have moved on to other brands and are nostalgic and start raving about the 90's and early to mid 2000 models

I think even within Cali, there are different electricity companies and difference rates. At least in NorCal, we separate the generation cost and the transmission cost and then there are a bunch of regulatory fees. We pay upwards of 40 cents per kw and worse in peak hours and months

Yes.
EPB charges a monthly $9.81 fee regardless of usage
Base residential rate is 9 pennies per kWh
So-called Fuel surcharge fluctuates but has been + 2 pennies per KwH
California home has PG&E for gas and electric but don't know the breakdown specifics.
