There has to be a way to get out of a Waymo in an emergency. Especially here in California where they are strict about safety. Even our Tesla's have a manual latch, which annoyingly many new to Tesla's always seem to reach for
Dunno how the emergency latch works on a Jaguar but the soft open mechanism is software controlled. Obviously, they don't want people opening the door at 60mph plus Waymo doesn't want you to bail on the ride any time you please.
People were able to open the door and walk away when the cars were stopped in the middle of the intersection that's your claim?
I'm not claiming anything. You claimed that people were trapped in their Waymo during the power outage, and I asked where you saw that because I haven't read or seen any social media that says people were trapped. Yes, Waymo's got stuck at intersections, but people being trapped? People were able to get out. Even the X post you posted says "Called Uber to go back home" meaning they were able to exit their Waymo and call an uber.
It's not a freeway. I would feel completely safe exiting. Driver's were probably being extra cautious anyways among stopped vehicles. Not to mention, tons of traffic officers dispatched around the city.
Are there any videos of FSD driving during a power outage? The only one I found on YouTube was 2 years old. I would really be interested in seeing dash cam footage.

I looked it up, and FSD will react to traffic lights being out by treating them like stop signs. But I haven't actually seen this in action yet. I've seen it only with flashing traffic lights

i dont see why wouldnt it run with power outage, it just means there is no traffic lights and road is dark. Like any other dark road without traffic lights and just with signs.

Im sure it will run, I was just curious how it handled it. Even human drivers in a power outage hesitate at intersections, even though we all know it should be treated as a stop sign. With a bunch of people "hesitating", I was curious if the driving is as smooth as normal.

Supposedly the Buzz is going to be refreshed for 2027 and that’ll be introduced some time in 26. They’ll use existing 25 models for 26 sales until then but there will be no 2026 models in the US.
