I like that Steering wheel. Matt finish looks much better than gloss IMO.

Amazing build thread... subscribed.

I have a quick question on the RCF Calipers/380mm rotors. Did you use the larger R-CF front dust shields or kept the stock IS-F dust shields? Thanks!

Thank you! I was going to use the RCF dust shields, even bought new ones, but they don’t mount the same way as the isf ones do. So, I have ISF dust shields on there.

Got a new shift ****, again from Raceseng. They are discontinuing a few models and I like this better than the heavier model I had. Modified both the adapter and the **** core so it sits as low as possible. I might also chop the delrin cover to make it even shorter.

Purchased a weight pad sensor for the passenger side off of eBay, seems like this part is shared among few other Lexus models. Part number is 89105-0W050. I initially planned on having a new bottom cushion made so I could insert this inside it. But someone else has done it this way and it works just fine.

May I trouble you for an estimate of the the total clearance for accessing the transmission fluid fill plug? I am trying to figure out which 24mm sockets might work here. I already have two 24mm, one 6pt and another 12pt, but I suspect they are too deep.

Evidently SST #09961-01270 is no longer available for order.

There's about a couple inches, maybe a little bit more, clearance from the plug to the side rail, but it isn't a straight access, I think an inch or two deep socket will work if you use some kind of swivel ratchet or one of those that has a joint so you could bend it. HTH

Swapped pink and purple (upshift and downshift) terminals/wires at the floor transmission control switch connector under the center console. The downshift and upshift feel more natural this way.

Did you just use the jelly part of the weight sensor or the entire thing? And you flipped it upside down so that the cord is on the top? Can you feel that through the seat? Mine is running through the belt hole in the bottom of the seat, but the seat cushion does not Velcro well with it like that.

I also have the outer liners on there, they are trimmed shorter and part of the bladder is folded. Still trying to figure out whether I should flip it over but the tube will be against the hard surface of the seat. This way, the foam is thick enough to conform to it and I don’t feel it at all. I tried lining it up with the belt hole but the bladder is off centered needing to fold one side of it and trim the liners some more. I’m still trying other ways to have it on there. Either way, you can fold it to a certain extent to expose the Velcro surfaces on the sides. You still want it spread across the majority of the bottom though. I meant to message you over IG but you’re not on there now.

No worries. I have a few endeavors that take my time, and I’m weird for a millennial. I’m not big on social media.

I did it this way. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ml#post2804527. This car got it done at the ECM end if I am looking at the pictures correctly. The pictures are from my IS350, but I did the same thing to my IS F shortly after I got it.

@lobuxracer Ah, thank you. Forward to downshift and backwards to upshift is more natural in spirited driving, should have been this way from the factory...<sigh>

Let me know when you do this hack and I can get you the finishing touch to it it will require wet sanding and then polishing the back of the acrylic panel so it’s clear and then stick my decal on the back. The “- +” are blue when lit up.
