Your build is very clean. I’m very utilitarian, so I never saw the point in very small details. Do you mind sharing why your into small things, like titanium hardware? I’m honestly curious. I like going all out with big things like quality wheels, seats, suspension, etc... but I can also slouch on simple things like cleaning the wheels before a car show lol.
Thanks! I think I’ve always been detail oriented when it comes to projects and builds. I’ve had my share of huge builds but I’ve always incorporated small one off details which sort of set them apart. I hate seeing even a small spec of corrosion so that explains the titanium hardware, and shaving some weight off, even though very small, while I’m at it.
I didn’t know that Tom’s made a harness until just recently, didn’t it also come with the custom panel?
Mine is a custom decal that goes behind the factory plastic panel after it is sanded down clear and polished. I have a local friend that designs custom gauge faces and he uses a company in Canada. I already paid for the initial design and programming so any future orders will just be re-prints. Let me know via pm if you’re interested in one as I will be placing an order for a few soon.
Hi and thanks for replying, What Toms include back then was some kind of little + and - stickers wish I did not install cause they weren't very aesthetic will pm you thanks.
Got some parts and put the rear coilovers together. Got everything installed. Mike is making me some proper top hats for the rear, but for now these will do!
@JT2MA71 Nice work. Thanks for raising the standard once again. :-) My innovative, disruptive, novel, and exciting custom "X-cuts" seem absolutely primitive by comparison. I marked the locations with a sharpie and touch before cutting, but did not think I could nail it exactly so did not cut a hole. "X-cut" detail. From a distance.

Thanks! I mocked up the panels with the adjusters off, pressed against the panel to feel for the shock rod
and then marked the panel. The x cuts work as well!
Found this front and rear turn LED kit while browsing buyee.jp and thought to give it a try. The flash speed is adjustable via the included relay and has the “smart tap” feature although it’s only 3 flashes.
Great build! Your attention to detail and skills are top-notch. I'm jealous of how clean your underside is. Being in New England everything is PB Blaster, torches, and foul language.

This is why I won't live in snow. 24 years in California. 14 years in Georgia. Barely any surface rust on all three of my cars. No penetrating oil because I just don't need it. I grew up in Iowa and know the rust belt cancer on cars. I will never live there again. If I'm going to live in a corrosvie environment, it will be in the Caribbean where I can pick mangoes off a tree in my yard, not freeze my nads off with snow, ice, and -30F windchills.

Thank you. My car was from Tennessee and some of the suspension fasteners have surface rust but nothing bad. I’ve replaced all of them.
This diffuser has made me question what I know about downforce. I’ve been led to believe the bottom of a car needs to be flat for this to work, but clearly, TRD disagrees and did the aero homework to prove it.

This is why many of us rust belt auto guys / gals have cheaper dailys. My 08 IS350 isn’t really valuable at all in US dollars, but it’s a decent car to drive and keeps my ISF rust free. I’ve already accepted that I’ll have a cheaper daily for the rest of my life, and a nicer car for when there isn’t salt on the streets.
