Interesting.... Aren’t you worried this might lead to increased noise and vibration? I would love to hear what @FIGS thinks about it. I just recently ordered these mounts, I was not able to put them in as of yet. Definitely looking forward to your feedback.

The heat shielding is not really participating in the damping at all and these are the DEI flexible oil filter heat shields, fiberglass backed foil. They will remain flexible. These mounts are designed to tolerate higher temps, but when installing EL headers, things are tight everywhere and these foil shields are cheap insurance. If you want to get some we have some in stock. Let me know,
Mike

I have the same mounts on the RC-F, also insulated with the same fiberglass tape. The only vibration, which is very faint, is when at a stop and transmission is in gear. In neutral or park, you can't tell it's there. But, with the added benefit of less engine movement and a more "direct" feel during gear shifts.

Replacing the transmission oil pan as it has a dent on it. I’ll replace the filter cause why not?

Old pan and filter.

New pan and gasket. Waiting for a new filter.

All buttoned back up with new pan and bolts. I had fluid coming out of the overflow hole after pumping in just a little over 3 qts. I then pumped 2 more quarts in (probably overkill) to make sure I don’t have to undo the fill plug and add more when it’s time to set the level.

Better put in one more. Mine took 5.5 quarts when I dropped the pan and replaced the filter.

Can the differential drain and fill bolts be accessed without dropping/removing the center section of the SSM axle-back?
