So I'm kind of torn. I took another drive of my friends new Model 3 Long Range, and it's fast. I mean, really fast. About as fast as my Polestar was, which was FAST . Extremely comfortable and quiet ride. Do I really need the Model 3 Performance, which does 60 MPH in 2.9 seconds? So I'm seriously thinking of just getting the LR, which my friend is getting easily 340 miles of range. And this price (which is good until Dec 15th) is just hard to beat:

Please note, if I put 20 percent down, I get 0 percent financing

@AMIRZA786 drive them both. In my case, we fell in love with our early adopter 2018 Mid Range; there was no question I would buy the M3P Highland.
We test drove the RWD Highland and the difference was like night and day. Drive them both.
Now, I am older than you, retired and money is not an issue at this point of my life.
If something happened to our M3P, I would order another tomorrow; it's that good. Having said that, I am sure you would love the AWD.
IMO, the only question is, will you wish you had sprung for the M3P? Only you can answer that.

Even wifey, who is the Lexus girl, would not hesitate to get another Tesla is we needed a car. Again, it's that good.
Good luck my friend.

As you probably already know, I've driven the new Model 3 Performance three times, so I'm totally familiar with it. The LR also has dual motors and is AWD. I already know the performance of the M3P is out of this world, but do I really need it? Want it, yes. Need it... probably not . I do know that the M3P has better seats and adjustable dampers, but do I really need to pay $7500 more ($40,630 vs $48,130)? Some will say that's chump change, but that's additional stock I have to sell. Also, I would have to put more down to get the 0 percent financing.

I haven't fully made any decisions yet. I really don't need it right now, it's going to be an additional car until we return our Ioniq 5 lease in next July. I just don't want to lose the $7500 tax credit plus 0 percent financing, which may not be available next year

The LR seats are excellent. And no, no one needs a car as fast as the M3P, or a Porsche, Vette, you name it. Ot the LR either.

You know what I think? You can't go wrong!

I think so as well. Even if I went for the M3P, I would hardly be using Ludicrous mode, which frankly scares me 🤣. I would be driving it 99.9 percent in Normal mode, which is pretty much the same as the M3 LR's Normal mode. And yes, the seats are comfortable, better than my Model Y seats. And at 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds, I can still be a Red Light bully 😆

You only live once. Just get the M3P.

I believe in the afterlife. If I'm a good boy, I'll be able to drive any car I want... for free 😂

Get the M3P so you have the nicer front end.

A LR 3 is very slow. I'd smoke you in an 8 year old non-performance Model S.... you know you want an M3P and the adjustable dampers....

If I could find a used Hertz one for 15 grand and not bad mileage I may buy it.

I'd have to inspect it pretty thoroughly.

You won't find one for $15k, 2020 Models start around $21,500 for lower mileage vehicles

Not trying to be snarky, but no, you wouldn't. At least not 0-60. Model 3 LR AWD is 0-60 in 4.2, and Motor Trend got 4.0 even. That's faster than I've seen any uncorked 75D. If the 75D isn't uncorked, it would get smoked.

Now, the LR RWD, you would smoke. But only if your 75D is uncorked.

The track will show a different side of what your car can do. Trust me. Street driving is only a drop in the bucket.

My wife is in group #2 in anything she drives!!

I believe you brother . Right now I'm just focused on a street car/daily commuter. If I ever got the itch for hitting the track, I would get a more track focused car that wouldn't send me into a ditch
