That's not normal lol. Especially someone who has such quick cars. There's nothing wrong with a little stoplight fun if the conditions are fine. The one time a Tesla raced me it left me in the dust lol.

 

Yes here....it will be state to state but our car market is heavily controlled by legislation and always has been. It will ebb and flow with coming and going administrations (you'll see a big setback the next 2-4 years). You'll see increasing fees and taxes on gasoline which will drive the price up coupled with expanded tax credits for EVs once things swing back the other way which will drive another spurt of EV adoption.

 

Nobody has ever made any such attempt

 

You give the government too much power and forget that the people actually do have a say. Norway is not a free country compared to here. They have a sugar tax for crying out loud.

There is so much oil beneath us it is ridiculous, centuries worth. EVs aren't going anywhere, of course, but American energy is about to be unleashed like a Mofoo, that is not a setback. I wouldn't be shocked if we see good ICE engines make a return.

None of this is a knock on EVs, they will always have their place.

 

AJT, Norway and Scandinavian countries in general have a very high quality of life and consistently dominate in the world quality of life / overall happiness rankings.

 

You do realize half of that is because they don't have to pay big bucks for defense......we cover that.

Whatever floats peoples' boats, the government over there is huge. I can't imagine being taxed on sugar intake, but if they're happy with it over there then good. I'm not knocking it, just saying that's not for me.

But I must note that they are a tiny country compared to ours which makes EVs way more practical there. It's a small country and very narrow in some places.

Had a debadged 6 series Gran Coupe that got offended every time I took off from the line at 50%. At the last light we were lined up I took it to 75% . It’s was on a big 55mph road so I only took it to my usual 65 cruising speed, but got there plenty quick
