China has serious competition in the EV space.

 

Cooper EV, ionic EV and Polestar were all originating from China for the Canadian market before the 106% tariffs.

 

Ford made swapping the battery pack dead simple. Battery itself is kinda crude can tell this is version 1.x but still, well done Ford. Shame it was cancelled.

 

A friend of mine just leased one, so they are still available

I just want to say that as someone who has almost fully transitioned to EV's (only ICE left is a 2013 Toyota Sienna) I appreciate your participation and engagement with us Battery heads . I look forward to crushing you in head to head debates 🤣. JK

Moving to all EV's (or at least 99 percent EV's) was from a vehicle ownership perspective the best move I ever made. And moving fully to Tesla sealed that for me. I've made no sacrifices, but only gains. OK, I did have to install a separate sub-panel, bring in a 240v circuit and install a charger, but it all ultimately not only paid for itself, but has put me in positive territory. I now own and drive two vehicles that are not only more efficient than a Prius, need virtually no maint, but have the versatility to be a family car, travel car, and have the performance I need to wipe the smile off of many owners of sports cars. And I didn't have to spend sports car money to get sports car performance.

Will I ever buy another ICE vehicle? Only as an occasional weekend car. Still respect ICE, but my heart has moved on BEV
