General EV Conversation
Hey any E-tron owners?
My friend has a 2021/2022 Etron and current issue is (hopefully I’m explaining correctly) 24 battery cells need replacing to the tune of $5k. Car has been at dealership since November. Audi is bringing in special technician/engineer to look in it. Shouldn’t this fall under the battery warranty?
She also mentioned 3-4 other recalls have been completed.

Yes I have an Etron, but as I understand, the 2024 (facelifted model) is much improved. They updated the design of the motors and batteries. No major issues with mine, but I purposely leased it.
With the issues I had with my Polestar, and the number of times I had to take our Ioniq 5 to the dealership for software updates to address recalls, and seeing minor issues friends are having with other EVs, I'm sticking with Tesla
. That said, my daughter's Chevy Bolt has been as solid as my Tesla's, and she's rough on cars

Just showed her this. She said yeah guess that’s what you get sometimes with 1st year problems. Otherwise she loves it just unsure what to do next.
A friend of mine has a MB EQS AMG SUV and it has been at the dealer for weeks trying to fix it to no avail. Same thing happened to his first EQS that he had for a year and the dealer bought it back because they were having trouble fixing it for months. This one isn’t doing any better and he’s getting frustrated, not only because he doesn’t have it back, but the fact that they can’t fix it.
That's why only Tesla's for me. They rarely have major issues, don't need maintenance, and when they experience minor issues there are service centers everywhere. They are updated constantly, and get better over time. Like Apple products, they 'just work '
There’s 2-3 of them sitting outside at local VW lot. I think electric minivans are a good thing. Give them 7-8 seats and minimum 300 mile range and I would think they would sell.
for the right price of course.
