Otherwise they are cool looking.
The issue is my old Plaid used to glitch every now and then and after it would pop out sometimes when you grabbed it if would retract and it not only startled you but it hurt. After a few times experiencing it every time I picked up my kids I could see the hesitation when grabbing the door handle.Originally Posted by spwolf
i didnt realize MBs are bad... Works fine on my MS, only problem is if you try to hold them at the half second before they start closing, you have to work quick.Otherwise they are cool looking.
On my new Plaid it has been 100% perfect so far. Only issue I have is when picking someone up to unlock the doors the unlock button takes a little while to pop up in the screen to unlock the doors handles.

does it not unlock for you when you put it from D to P? Or is that an option? Like it will pop up after few seconds even in D, but it just auto does it for me when I put it in P, so thats my way.Originally Posted by patgilm

does this take long in US? Here it is up to 8-10 months, they are being slow on purpose.Originally Posted by bitkahuna
yup, 3x 15kWh batteries and the smaller thinner box is the controller. i put the third battery off to the right so i can open the ioniq door between them when i pull in. system's not running yet. need a sign off from the power company.

Also, whats the investment payback for you? It seems like a such no brainer in states like CA.

It is, even in December we’re generating roughly what we consume and likely a little more. We have quite a large house in a warm part of the state and a truck with a 131 kWh battery that we charge exclusively at home. We just got our true up for the last year, and our total electricity bill for the year was less than zero.Originally Posted by spwolf

it’s not lost on me that if you can’t afford solar here you’re paying exorbitant rates for electricity, so those who earn just enough to not qualify for help have it worst. But yes, solar here is ubiquitous and mandated on most new construction.

The scenario I am talking about is if I am picking up my kids at the curb for them and their friends to get in the car I don't want to put it in P and then after they get in swipe to put it in drive. I want it to be like any other normal car where I keep it in D. In this scenario it takes a little while for the soft button to pop up on the screen to unlock the door vs. me just pulling up and hitting a button to unlock the door either before I pull up or right when I pull up. Pretty much everything from what he listed in the video. Mostly software issues, freezing and unresponsive screen, stuff not working. Once it wouldn't start. When I test drove one the maps wouldn't load and the screen was slow. It was buggier than my PolestarOriginally Posted by SW17LS

Thanks. Been a frustrating experience the date keeps getting pushed back, will probably get the car in February. Which works out since I never plan on driving it during winter. Car will be from Berlin not Fremont.Originally Posted by swajames

edit - my spec is Quicksilver with white/black interior that likely has caused delays.
