Thanks. Been a frustrating experience the date keeps getting pushed back, will probably get the car in February. Which works out since I never plan on driving it during winter. Car will be from Berlin not Fremont.
I really wanted a Model 3 but every time I checked could only buy from inventory not order exactly what I wanted. For kicks I checked just now same deal, choose from inventor and none are the performance spec.

they are very different drives, i trust you drove Y?
i love my rwd model y and i certainly don't need a 'performance' model, but besides the ludicrous speed (which would be fun!), i do like the idea of having an adaptive suspension, the bigger battery and screen, and the nice look upgrades. congrats lex2k!!!!
assume car will come from berlin to avoid u.s. tariffs.
Go to 4:47 Lexus has caught Tesla electronic door latch disease. Stop doing this automakers, some things are best left as analog they can't be improved.
I find it really interesting that you have this opinion of door handles (I agree) but you can't understand why many of us want a physical gear selector and physical buttons for certain controls. Like you said, some things are best left analog and can't be improved
What does preferring manual physical controls have anything to do with wanting to go back from an EV? Manual controls vs screen based controls have nothing to do with EV vs ICE.
Its like saying an EV can't have manual door handles. Why can't it?

What makes you think I was replying to you? I was stating my love of EV'S. I do respect your views though, but thankfully the EV'S I drive weren't designed by you
Sorry for assuming your comment had some relevance to the current conversation lol
Absolutely nothing. If it did I would have addressed what you wrote. This is not something I haven't written at least 100 times, and unfortunately for some, 100 more

Are you trolling at this point? Door latch that doesn't open can kill you, it needs to work at all times regardless if there is power or not. There does not need to be a large mechanical device in an EV to set the drive unit to forward or reverse. I'm thinking you simply don't understand how an EV powertrain works.
You can WANT a giant shifter, great. Don't conflate that to a safety critical mechanism versus preference. That's dumb.
