Discounted Price before rebate: $56,000 (10.4% discount)
Price with rebate: $54,500 (12.8% total discount)

Had multiple dealers saying they could beat this price, but in the end all I heard were crickets when I asked what the price was. This is most likely because nobody else had the actual car. If you find a car that multiple dealerships have you could maybe push the total discount with rebate to 13%. If you are getting a car with less options the going rate seems to be about 10% off MSRP before rebate. I emailed 19 different dealerships to get these prices.

Good luck everyone!
That's a screaming deal. My dealer in Colorado wouldn't budge on a 3% discount of a 450h (excluding $1500 lease cash.) I asked for 10% off MSRP (excluding lease cash) but he kept claiming scarcity of inventory as the reason they wouldn't negotiate. There are fewer dealers out here than in California. Maybe I should just buy in CA and drive back to Colorado

Oh well!

I didn't use Autonation I just went to a dealer which had the car on the lot.

Just closed on my deal 57920.00 includes 1025.00 for delivery.
Base 45550 - 11345 in options (got the ML audio and heads up) did not need them but wanted to have them : )
MoonBeam Beige Metallic.
paid 51420.00 with rebate and then had to pay taxes so drive out is 56k. CA taxes suck : (
I feel I received a fair deal. Not too much back and forth. I was first offered 2k off and 1.5k Rebate.
Actually very good experience and the advise provided here helped.
Car is beautiful.

I think if you want it now buy it now. Seems like a good deal to me.

Looking to purchase a 2020 Lexus RX350 and here is where the dealer is:

MSRP: $51,630, plus $579 doc fee, $500 state taxes, $55 tags. Plus a $399 window tint and $99 nitrogen tire charge.

The dealer will discount it $3,900 then another $1,500 for the Lexus rebate. It puts the total OTD price a $47,862.00.

Reading through these posts, it seems like this is an average to below average deal. What says you? I am looking for a car that doesn't already have the window tint so I can save another $399.

I figured at $47,000 out the door (including $1,500 rebate) that I was being reasonable.

Thanks!

What optional packages are included with the car? Looks like you got roughly 10% off the MSRP (Discount + Rebate). Seems ok most are getting between 10-15% off MSRP, though try to get rid of that nitrogen tire charge no reason why you should have it. 47K OTD would be a reasonable number.

which state are you in ? here in NY is 8.625 % and my tax is almost $4000 here. Brought for 46500 OTD for MSRP of 47850, roughly 12% off. all dealerships here in NY and NJ are not willing to get any lower due to limited availability for my color combo ( white + parchment)

I agree. The dealer install this stuff right off the truck, so I have to catch it before it gets the added options.

It has blind spot monitor, 20" wheels, heated/ventilated seats, premium package interior (sunroof), towing prep package, wood and leather heated steering wheels, all weather floor liners and cargo liner, mud guards and cargo mat/cargo net/wheel lock.

I asked for 14% off with the rebate and the sales manager advised employee pricing isn't even that much off. He seemed transparent but I know they are hiding numbers somewhere.

I'm in South Carolina. Our taxes are capped at $500 for a new car purchase.

Very hard to say as it depends on the deal and the buyer's financial situation.
If you have the cash, use it to get a discount as long as the discount is more than what you'd earn in interest including tax liabilities, if not finance it,.

We ended up not getting the RX. The dealer wouldn't remove the $99 nitrogen fee or $399 window tint fee, nor match autonation's price.

I ordered a new 450 RXH with all options other than towing and Mark Levinson system for an MSRP of $59,650. I got a 8% of MSRP in Minneapolis. I am expecting a build time of 3-4 months. This is my 3rd new Lexus Rx. I am replacing my Acura MDX Advance. I did not want to wait for the next update for the Acura with the larger single monitor.
