2020 RX prices
Atlanta market is very competitive given the 5 dealers in metro area.. but apparently I'm hitting a snag in pre-order discount.. the couple of my go-to dealers say they'll sell at MSRP.. no discount other than any lexus rebate at time of delivery.. i was thinking they would happily give 5.5k off given that they've a guaranteed sale with little to no skin in the game.
If anyone in ATL is scoring any discount for custom order please let me know. The same dealership was giving a 7k dealer discount for 2019 custom order on a 57k RX450h. But turned me away for 2020.

Thing is its in pre-order.. that's the easiest sell a dealership can do.. no worry about aging inventory, odd combinations or colors, dealer insurance, etc..
Another problem in picking an on-lot model is the unnecessary options which I don't need.. eg. 20 inch wheels, etc. and missing things like 360 cam and hud which I need..
Anyway will look again in a week. Truecar and costco are per-lead models where dealer pays 300 to 500 per closed sale.. so you can negotiate better directly most of the times.

When I started my search for a new RX, the 2019 models were on option IF they had the color combo I wanted and options. The truecar pricing they sent me was for a 2019........but when i got there it wasn't exactly what i wanted. If i could have gotten an outstanding price i would have bought it. The internet sales rep said lets configure a 2020 and see what we get. Long story short the pricing was only about $1000 more than the 2019. After negotiations the Internet sales rep stated I can also give you an extra $500 off because you went thru truecar.

However, if were talking about when deals are happening, like i can talk about 15% before rebates, an order is probably not ideal.
YMMV of course.

Early question on this thread regarded the availably of heated seats,
2020 RX's are now available with the F-Sport appearance items only
or as the Performance F-Sport with the Adaptive Variable Suspension,
Sport + drive mode, VDIM, sound generator and wait for it...heated F-Sport
seats! Look for code "FK"

I am in Alberta and just ordered a base pearl white 2020. Should be arriving within the next two weeks. In the meantime, they gave me a loaner to drive.
As for pricing, I was able to do $2k over invoice.

hi
I own a 2014 BMW X3 and I will be replacing it in a few months. I've been thinking of getting a highly reliable Japanese vehicle that I can own for at least 10 years . Right now I have in mind the 4runner (wishful thinking for a 2020 redesign so most likely not a real choice) and
... the 2020 RX 350 AWD with the following colors, pkgs and options:
- matador red mica exterior
- Black nuluxe with striated black trim
- premium pkg
- cold weather pkg
- power moonroof and roof rails
- 20" 5 spoke wheels
- BSM and rear cross traffic alert
- heated and ventilated front seats
- roof rack cross bars
- body side moldings
- mud guards
- heated leather trimmed steering wheel
- power rear door with kick sensor
- carpet cargo mat
- alloy wheel locks
+ $1095 deliv, proc & handling fee
for a total of $53,140
Questions:
- Could I custom build this (no problem waiting 6-8 weeks or whatever),as I did with my X3?
- In case it were possible, do I have any room for price negotiation [as compared when buying from the lot]? shaving a couple of grands off the total price is the idea
- In your opinion, Should I wait until maybe December to get a better pricing and/or offers?
- Should I negotiate with other lexus dealers, maybe 100-200 miles away from my city for the right deal and environment? (Lexus/Toyota dealers in Miami FL are notorious for swelling initial prices, being borderline dishonest in negotiations and a long list of etc). ie I helped my sister buy her camry and it was a nightmare, then I started a negotiation for a 4runner and had to walk because these sellers were so unprofessional, pushy and number magicians that they did not give me another choice. Then when I bought a IS350 a few years ago, the experience was so bad that I have no idea how I accepted the awful deal that they gave me. Any recommendation for a good dealer or seller within a driving distance of Miami ?
Any other insight that you can provide?
thank you so much

You can custom build a 2020 lexus.
I have one on order now, with a build date of 11-1 and the dealer thinks I will have it the end of November. What you could do build what you want in the lexus configurator, and take it to your preferred dealer and see what discounts they will offer you. I live in the pacific northwest so I cannot advise you on what dealer to use. You should be able to come to an agreement on how much below msrp you can buy the car for. Once you are satisfied, a deposit is required to start the firm order. I gave them 2k down to initiate mine.
