Just install this Android Stereo and need help
WoW @zcollier that's interesting. Yours runs Android 8.1 and will soon have a can bus that'll fix the radio? Any chance you can direct us to where we can find this newer can bus to order it? Also, can you see if the seller is willing to share the 8.1 update software if it's available?
Please keep us informed. I've communicated with them as well and they're customer support is top notch. I have the older unit with 1gb of ram and 16gb of storage and have been in contact with them on buying it. If that CAN BUS does fix your issues I will happily upgrade my unit. The temp control hasn't bothered me much, but if it is correct I'd definitely appreciate the proper functionality.
@zcollier Wanted to provide some input to my excel sheet. The green cells are confirmed wires and the yellow cells are missing wires. For the Air Conditioner Control table starting on row 60, this is the wire harness from my Fly Audio radio I was using to compart. My Fly Audio radio worked great with and had temp in F. The missing cables are IG+, TX+, TX-, and GND. I am wondering if the TX- and TX+ which is coming from LEXUS AC need to be connected to get Temperature. or if this is a CAN DECODER issues which is hard coded for the Celsius message. However, TX- and TX+ are connected on the Original Data Wire harness but that goes to the CAN DECODER then the Radio.
Anyone one know the PIN OUT for the Instrument Monitoring Panel? Wondering if the TX- TX+ from AC should be connected directly here? I identified as many as I could but also have not idea the PIN OUT for the CAN Decoder.

@ucflexus So just a little clarification:
1. You are saying that the TX+ and the TV- lines are missing on the newer unit's pass-through connector, but that they ARE present and connected on your older FlyAudio unit where the temperature values ARE displayed, correct? If so, then it might make sense to simply jumper the TX+ and TX- lines from the built-in factory connector (coming from the car) over to the correct pins going into the head unit. I'm not looking at the actual unit or wires right now, so I'm probably a bit mixed up, but this general idea might be worth exploring.
2. Are you saying that on your unit is DOES display the temperature levels, but it displays them in Celsius? Or do you see ONLY the "Hi" and "Lo" labels that both @Dukenukemx and I see on our displays?
And to @Dukenukemx , yes, I will definitely share my results after I receive the new CAN BUS decoder.
Thanks!

@zcollier so the TX- and TX+ from the AC factory harness are not connected in new wire harness for android radio. For my older flyaudio radio the TX+ and TX- they were used/connected in the fly audio wire harness.
As for temperature, I have Hi and Low. I notice on vehicles that do not show temp at are located in US which are programmed to use F. Everyone else who’s vehicle uses C has temperature shown. To me this is either a wire harness issues or a CAN decoder box reading message in C not F so the default is hi or low.

Thanks for the clarification, @ucflexus ! That's what I thought your wiring diagram was indicating. I'm not sure it's feasible to connect those missing wires, otherwise why wouldn't the manufacturers have simply connected them? I'll look into this more closely when I take everything apart to install my incoming USA version CAN BUS decoder.
Here's a question for anyone with this particular unit. The buttons on on the left side of the glass, next to the LCD screen, have stopped working. Maybe this happened after I was messing around in the "Extra Settings" area, but I'm not sure. I don't think I de-programmed them, but it's certainly possible. Does anyone know of a way to restore these buttons' functionality? I'm talking about the vertical column of "touch panel buttons" on the glass itself, the Power, Home, Back, Vol +, Vol -, column of buttons.
And does anyone have experience with "Factory Reset" on this unit? I would try that, but I'm concerned that there may be special configuration steps that are done by the seller before sending out the units.
There seem to be two "reset" options: One option in the Settings app within Android, and the physical "Reset" pinhole on the front of the unit in the display glass.
Thanks!

I recently installed this unit as well. Do you guys have any issues with Waze? Almost every time I use Waze, at some point the entire system will freeze and I have to turn off the car to reset it. Google maps seems to work ok.
Hi Guys, I Installed this unit back in August, and have some of the same issues as you, the radio frequency, my bluetooth music sounds like crap
However my climate controls do show temperature numbers in addition to the hi/lo, those being at the ends
also, does anyone know what the OBD2 plug does, I lost mine and they'll send me a new one for 27$ and I dont know if its worth it.

The only issue I have is when I put the car in reverse it tends to close Waze. Do you have the new radio with Android 8 or 9?
That's interesting, can you take a pic of it? A lot of us have that feature missing.
Shows what door is open in the car. That and maybe the reverse camera.

Here it is (I hope) the range is 18-32 degrees C, with no way that I know of to change to F
I'll check the version when I take it apart again
