I finally had some time to tackle the lag of stereo issue with our radio. Thanks to the excel file posted by ucflexus in this thread, it made it easier for me to trace the radio wire harness. Anyway, long story short, it turns out there is a easy hack to have the radio play both channel. There are two ways to you can archive this. See attached diagram at the end.
Method A: All you have to do is switch few wires around.
- Locate the FL+ & FL- (White, White/Black strip), Cut both wires (cut them 3 or 4 inches from the head unit plug). Then locate the Purple (RR+) & Purple/Black strip (RR-). They are not connected to anything. Connect them to the two wires you cut that are on the factory harness side, White to Purple , White/B to Purple/B respectively.
or If you are good at de-pin, you can just remove pin #17+#18, then put#9 into #18, #10 into #17 slot.
Method B: Parts needed: 1 pair or RCA Male Jack or RCA cable you can cut to use. **see known issue below with RCA level
-Locate and cut those wires:
FL+ & FL- (White, White/Black strip)
FR+ & FR- (Grey, Grey/Black strip)
-Solder each pair of wire (on the factory harness side) to the RCA male jack.
-Then plug them into the Line Out jack #1, #2 at the back of the head unit.
known issues:
- BT sound channels are inverted (or it could be the android channels that are inverted, WTF???), so Right=Left, Left=Right. This explains why Android plays Left channel and Bluetooth plays Right channel only because BT's left channel is wired to the Android Right Channel which is muted by default for whatever the ***** sake reason.
- Line Out level is on the low side, probably under 2v. So you will need to put the Android volume to max (30), and crank up the factory volume **** as well. or get yourself a line driver to boost the line out level, such as this:
Anyway, either method will work in full stereo mode. The Fad/Balance, and EQ still work as before. It has been few weeks now since I did the modification, so far nothing blow up yet. So it is all good.

any idea where these three plugs go i couldnt find anywhere to plug them in
any idea what these three plugs go? i couldnt find anywhere to plug them in
I'm pleased to report that the new stereo audio fix from @BabyGate worked perfectly for me. I performed "Method A", just cutting the two white wires and patching in the signals from the purple wires. Quick and simple, and I performed the mod without even removing the unit from my car.
I just clipped and stripped the white and white/black wires, and soldered in the already stripped ends of the purple and purple/black wires, and added a little heat shrink tubing for a long lasting solution.
I now have perfect stereo! Thanks @BabyGate and @ucflexus for your contributions!

The connector in the 1st photo appears to be the AC plug. It should connect to the one circle in this photo:
I don't recognize the other one. My unit doesn't have those one. Are you sure you have the same unit as ours?

I am glad it worked for your unit. I tried both methods and ended up with method A as well. Keep It Simple! Now go enjoy that stereo sounds. lol...
That’s really strange, mine always played in “stereo” but I did need and get (from the original seller) a different canbus and wiring harness for my Passenger airbag light to function properly.
I just need to find someone willing to be reasonable with the price on the stoooooopid but elusive can-bus for the Climate Control temperatures to show (instead of just showing Hi and Lo) and a fix for the radio station frequency to show the correct stations.

Holy Crap Baby, I did this today and the difference is night and day, awesome work figuring this out (used method a btw)
I just got the same Stereo for my JDM ISF and got 99% of the way. A few issues:
1. The Hazard lights dont work by the new button, I think its a 14 pin on the new unit and 16 on the car
2. The plastic clips dont line up when attaching to the CD/radio below it (not a huge issue, the central clip is fine but the side clips are misaligned)
3. Radio frequency issues as per many others
Otherwise it seemed to work well. I'll have to send it back if I cant resolve the hazard lights though. On my android unit I have 2 spare blocks and on the car 1 spare block. I assume its hazard light related.
