Been doing some looking around and this person has bought the same radio and has similar problems. It does confirm that a 2008+ vent would fit better than mine, but it doesn't fit perfect either way. He certainly has gap issues. Also, he's still trying to fix the radio issue as well. What's interesting is that he had the original Navigation stereo, so these will work with both regular and Navi setups I imagine.
One day I'll sit down and look through all the settings to see which effects radio.

Got nowhere with radio issue (Asvegen support non existant, wouldn't buy from them again), all the settings in unit are for built in radio. Problem is doesn't appear to be any settings for "original car" app that controls lexus radio. I have Y cable for antenna just haven't got around to fitting it yet.
Mine does display temp (JDM vehicle, not US) in air con screen, maybe because it was factory degrees C rather than F ????
Units do work on cars with original nav, just need to modify wiring and add connector (I used topic on here to convert non nav to nav but did it in reverse)
Biggest annoyance I have with unit is it kills spotify after about 30 secs if it's running in background, doesn't if spotify screen is up (basically have to kill nav to keep spotify runing)

So I got no where with my seller either, they said they can’t fix the radio station issue or the Climate control issue. I’m very disappointed as the entire reason these unit exist are because of the design of the OEM radio and Climate Control. I love all of the features but before I purchased this unit I asked specifically about the radio station issue and the Climate Control issue. I also asked about the airbag issue, I guess they got 1 out of 3. Very very disappointed.

So interesting clarification even though the radio display FM Frequency will not go beyond 97.6 FM the actual radio station that is playing through the speakers when the display is set at 97.4 is actually 107.x
So the radio frequency issue is that the radio display shows the incorrect station on the display

I could not agree more!! Even If I could get another application to tune the radio I would use it. I was able to change the navigation program from Google Maps to Here WeGo. I found the setting in the extra settings menu but I can’t for the life of me find the radio application.
(I used the very generous hard drive to download Here WeGo and North America and Canada Maps from the App Store)

Interesting, I just found something called a FM Frequency Band Expander for vehicles manufactured in Japan where the FM radio frequency range is 76FM - 90FM. The instructions for this device say after you install the unit you have to minus 14 from the station tuned in on the display to figure out the actual station that you will be listening to (meaning the station playing on the speakers). Now I know that mine is not minus 14, mine appears to be plus 10 so I’m off to the garage to see if I can find out what the relation between the display to the sound coming out of the speakers is.

So here are the disappointing results:
Display = Actual this is difference
94.2 = 101.1 this is plus 6.9
94.4 = 101.5 this is plus 7.1
94.6 = 101.9 this is plus 7.3
96.8 = 106.3 this is plus 9.5
97.2 = 107.1 this is plus 9.9

Thanks, that seems rather random. Looks like whoever designed this radio just tuned the stations to whatever China has and just hopes it worked in other countries.

Is that Using Lexus radio via the "original car" app on headunit?
#55
That is correct OEM Lexus radio through “original car” app
I downloaded another radio tuner but I cannot find where I can switch out “original car” with this new radio app that I downloaded.

I just installed this radio and I don't have a radio app. Is there a way to enable it in the settings? I just have the original car app, but that doesn't work. My radio didn't come with the "radio" app which Is adjustable. I've tried downloading different fm radio apps, but it's frustrating not knowing how to get that fm radio app because others arent working. I also have no idea how to get Bluetooth to work. The Bluetooth app just shows a circle then displays nothing.

Put your phone in discovery mode then try to sync the BT password is 0000
When you say the app called “original car” for the radio does not work you have to be more descriptive. Also does your Climate control work where it shows the temperature??

Nope just low and high. I got the radio to work, but I still have the same frequency issue that you all have. My phone is discoverable, but the radio doesn't find anything and several phones I've used can't find the radios Bluetooth either.
