That’s great!

Glad they figured that out (ahem... with my help!)

Did you see my pic above? Which settings in config info are you using? Do you have issue going between aux and radio?

Do you mean the Aux in inside the center console storage? I haven't try it if that is what you mean. I don't think you need to plug anything in for that part. The connection is in one of the two big plug on the original radio unit.

Is this the right model for ours I assume?

Also what options do you guys have set here?
My current issues are: incorrect radio stations and when I use aux it seems to not turn off radio all the time(can have both playing at once)

My radio have the full range, both FM and AM, though it is a bit off. I am using the same model that is in your photo. I recall there is an option for panel light in the car /extra settings. You might want to check that if it is checked.

Yea, I'll probably get something like that or just tap into the backup light for power.

I routed it on the passenger side. It's actually quite easy. The plastic panel under the glove box just pops out, no screw there. You do need to pop off the side dash panel first, gently using a flat head screwdriver. You can route the cable to the back of the radio from there. I just zip tie the camera cable to a harness underneath it there. Then run the wire alone the plastic trimming of the floor all the way to the trunk. I remember reading a post here that shows you how to get the wire from the trunk through a hole without taking out the back seat. I can't find it anymore. You basically use a coat wire to fish the cable through the hole in the trunk.

Also this may not be true but there was a rumor that all is were wired for backup cam so could potentially check if it's there, then all you gotta do is use the provided video cable and odb2 cable and order a used backup oem backup cam(check for the cable first though cause it's a pain to make it custom.

I ran the wire along the driver’s side of the car, down by the base of the doors. You can pull on the big plastic trim pieces to pop them off and you will find other wires already running under there. I ran my camera wire right next to those.

The trickiest part is getting the wire from the area next to the back seat and into the trunk area. I used a fish tape (electrical wiring pulling tool) to “fish” a string through a wiring hole that’s already there, starting from inside the trunk, forward and out next to the back seat. Then I taped the camera wire to that string and pulled it back through the hole and into the trunk area.

From there I popped the trim off of the little arms/bars that connect the trunk lid to the car body. And I ran the camera wire down that arm/bar, again next to the other wires that are already there.

Then I found a good place on a horizontal surface right above the license plate to drill a hole to mount the camera. Tip: The outer surface is fiberglass (I think) but you’ll also have to drill through another layer about a centimeter inside the first hole you drill (there is some space/air between the layers). That inner surface is metal, so it’s a little more difficult. Start with smaller drill bits and step up / increase the size slowly so that you can keep control of the drilling process. You’ll have to drill into that metal from a slight angle (not perpendicular) so starting with a small pilot hole will make it much easier.

With the hole drilled I mounted the camera and connected the video signal output to the video wire running up to the Android unit.

To turn the camera on I connected the power wire for the camera to the positive wire of the driver’s side backup light. That’s the one simple part of this process!!

It works great! I love having a backup camera!

I hope this description helps. Let me know if you need any specific guidance as you complete the project.
Ill be working on it tomorrow if the weather stays as it has, the only bit that has me worried is getting from the back seat to the trunk, this hole youre talking about, does it require seat removal, or will it be accessible when i lift up those sill plates? also did you have to take out the whole trunk liner?

I’m sorry, but I’ve not tried the AUX input yet. I will be out of town for a few days, so I won’t be able to test until the weekend.

I have never really used the radio other than to simply get it working initially. I didn’t know about plugging the left and right “aux in” cables into the back of the Android unit. Very poorly-labeled connectors, if you ask me!

I can say that I have NOT split the antenna cable to both units, so I can only use the “Original Car” radio, which has the frequency offset problems. Truly doesn’t matter to me, but it might be fun to fix it at some point to for completeness sake.

How did others on here get two antenna outputs/connectors coming out of the car’s wiring?

You will NOT need to remove the seat. Just pull up the sill trim, including the part running upwards next to the back seat, then you will have the access you need. It’s tight, but absolutely possible. Maybe use a long screwdriver or similar implement to pry and squish the side of the seat cushion away from the door jamb to get a better view. Use a flashlight and peek toward the trunk to see where the factory wires go through the hole into the trunk.

Holy **** how did you guys get the cables to fit? I cannot for the life of me get the unit to even remote come close to screwing in, between the TPMS and the honkin *** chunk of cables at the bottom, there is no way.

Also, anyone have issue where 'radio' is playing through only right speakers? Aux works fine but radio only plays through right. Is that another canbus issue?

Yeah its a real mess of wires, I just shoved them in until I could not shove no longer, I think I also took the TPMS off the bracket and let it float around in the sea of wires.

As for the radio, I'd check the connection on those rca cables, as thats where radio audio comes from if im not mistaken

I used plastic wire ties to bundle individual groups of wires together, and then tied those bundles loosely, using long twist-ties (easy to remove for future adjustments) to the metal frame where the Android unit is mounted. Then it’s all one big, fairly tight, unit with nothing hanging out of the back other than the end of the wires themselves leading back into the dashboard.

Be sure to leave enough slack on the part of the wires that lead into the dashboard. You want it to be easy to pull this all out next time.

Wow, this is fantastic news, I look forward to the end of the Chinese New Year so that i can purchase one of these USA Canbus decoders to see if they fix my issues (1) radio frequency range 2)radio frequency accuracy and 3) Climate Control not showing the temp that it is set at). PS I ran my Rear Camera wire on the passenger side, I’m pretty certain that most of the wiring in the car is shielded but didn’t want to introduce any electronic interference into the system by bundling aftermarket wires with OEM. I’m pretty sure it’s not necessary but I’m a little obsessive.

so the vendors look like Topnavi001 on eBay and ShenZhen Topnavi Electronic Co Ltd. on AliExpress

Anyone here tried rooting their stereo yet? I've tried Kingroot and that's not working, plus I need to remove unknown sources and can't find the setting. I'm assuming it's under developer setting even though it's normally under security, but I don't know the passcode for it. Also I wanna buy a usb modem for the car so that it's a mobile hotspot. I have no problem using my phone as a wifi hotspot but other people are driving the car sometimes and I'd like the internet connection running 24/7, plus I can track the car this way.
