ICE vs EV fires
Scotty is many things, but if he were such a bigot I doubt he would be the biggest promoter of Toyota and Honda on the internet.
The cost to Toyota is losing market share in the fastest growing segment of cars on the planet. People now may be indoctrinated with Toyota, but this won't work for younger buyers without brand biases will go for what's objectively best. That's how Tesla is at the top despite having only commercially existed for slightly over a decade.

Scotty can be a promoter of Toyota and Honda and still be bigoted towards Korea. Japan and Korea are different countries
Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are on fire. Literally killing it.
I do like their N cars like the new Elantra N. Good performance bargain at $33K.
Veloster N you lose space and a door for a higher price compared to the Elantra. Sounds like it will be cancelled soon and just replaced by the equally small Kona N. At least you have four doors and more ground clearance if you need that.
Also a fan of the Stinger but that is being cancelled soon. Really missed out on those $20K markdowns in 2019.
With that said, easily take any of the new GRs available from Toyota:
86, Corolla, Zupra
You can get them with all with a manual too.
The point is...its supposed to be pronounced a certain way...when one ignores how the nationality the name originates from says its to be pronounced and continues to pronounce it how they want...thats an example of subtle racism.

If they "wanted to" they already would have. Just like how if Toyota "wanted to" beat AMG and M, they would have. But they haven't.

They aren't concerned about alienating potential customers. Everyone knows that for all intents and purposes, EV's are in their infancy. All it'll take is some youtubers and car review experts to test them in real life scenarios to bring people over.

I'm sure he did say that, and hes wrong...like he is about many things.

Maybe Scotty is a bigot, but I don't see that attitude reflected in his commentary on cars. I've actually seen comments in some of his videos accusing him as "anti-American" even lol.
Well, first of all, I did not single out Tesla like your other posts would suggest. If you want proof that EVs are a public fire hazard, why did you ignore the ban on electric buses in Paris last month that I posted about, after three of them burned down within a month?
I meant racism in the context of cars. Back in the 80s and 90s, Japanese cars were often derided as "copycat Jap rustbuckets" in thinly veiled racist comments from people who usually lived through WWII.
