Watching the Redline Review of the new CH-R. Seriously why would you buy the Prius Prime I have as a loaner over that? That looks way more compelling.
I'll say one thing for the new CH-R.....it looks MUCH better than the old one did, which, IMHO, had about as much visual-appeal as a Halloween mask LOL.
I also remember, on the old one, the one I looked at and reviewed, sitting brand-new on the dealer's lot, also had a noticeable QC goof...unusual for a Toyota. The whole plastic housing trim cover over the start-engine button and lower-middle dash was partly-loose with one end dangling into thin air.......it had apparantly not been properly-attached at the plant.

range eh? Probably don’t matter that the CH-R has less than 300

all of a sudden Toyota has a 3 crossovers in the US market…a Lexus too. And 3 Subarus that Toyota makes.

Its interesting, my wife really dislikes the Prius PHEV loaner. She LOVED her 04 Prius but this is too small, too low, and the electronic nannies really bug her. Color me shocked.
04 was 22 years ago... and she's had giant minivans since. different universe.
She had it for 7 years, so it’s only been 15 years, but that’s true.
This Prius does feel MUCH smaller than that Prius. It had a very upright feel, almost a crossover like feel to it and this is very slow slung and close to the ground, with much less interior volume.
It also has a LOT of nagging ****. It you look away for a moment it yells at you. It puts STOP on the screen whenever you come up to a stop sign. All of that can be turned off I’m sure.

Does it also apply the brakes at the stop sign, or leave that up to you? Except for ignition-disablers for alcoholics, I myself don't necessarily like the idea of more safety-nannies...but running stop signs and red lights has become a serious problem.

Discounting the demos like normal, but not the new ones. They need to drop the stupid lux package and lower prices. Maybe even more discounts even beyond that.
With the discontinuation of the model, wonder of it will help or hurt its resale value?
Probably hurt. Used inventory on Autotrader has actually gone up since the announcement. Not a lot of people rushing out to buy them up. Whether justified or not, the fear of battery replacement down the road probably scares a lot of folks off.
