Watching the Redline Review of the new CH-R. Seriously why would you buy the Prius Prime I have as a loaner over that? That looks way more compelling.
I think Toyota has just absolutely nailed offering a bunch of amazing products at similar prices for just about anyone. I’m hearing the new Toyota plug in hybrids will have around 100 miles per charge.
Toyota's current 42 mile range is delivered by an 18 kWh battery. The only way you're getting 100 miles of EV range with these is a relatively big battery, maybe 35 to 40 kWh or so, and that point you're probably better off just biting the bullet and going full EV. It would end up being more efficient and would charge faster. A big battery plus a gas engine runs the risk of being the worst of both worlds.

They really have. We complain about Lexus, but Toyota is offering just the right products at just the right time.
