I would add another data point to the screen shifter. My MIL got into a fender bender in her X because the screen apparently doesn't like to register touches if someone regularly lotions their hands. She was reversing out of the spot, swiped to start moving forward, it didn't register, and she bumped the person waiting for her spot. Thankfully low enough speed to leave no marks on either car, but still not ideal. She now wipes her finger on her clothes before shifting

Now it's closer to 1.8~1.9 there and maybe 2.1 on the way back. Still have plenty of range if I charge to my normal 80% but it's getting a little closer than I'd like.

Went to the airport to pick up my wife yesterday morning and at 73mph and 24F out, I was hovering around 1.8 mi/kWh which made sad because I knew my lifetime efficiency was going to start dropping.
We are in the 40's and even upper 30 degrees F, and so far efficiency hasn't taken that much of a hit on either of my Tesla's. But yeah, 24F is freaking cold. But also I'm in the 4 miles per kWh range, so I don't see much difference when taking a hit

my Y is already very quiet though.
this was interesting on older models that were loud but people could not hear the difference.

I saw the same. It didn't really have to crank the heat until the temps were below freezing. Heat works well, but no heat pump on Gen 1s really hurts. Does a great job getting nice and toasty though My old 3P was also pre-heat pump and got hot fast which I appreciated

Oh, no heat pump will really eat into efficiency. Heat pump does take a little longer than element heaters, but not that much longer. My car is usually pre-heated before I leave in the morning

Instead of not having greasy hands this person wipes their finger on their clothes? WTF. Some people shouldn't drive.

Impressed for the price of it all ($42K USD). It's also got a bunch of random accessories that you can add like a karaoke mic

Of course it would never make it to the US at that price but the Chinese manufacturers are expanding fast. My friend recently came back from Mexico City and was very impressed with the BYDs he saw while over there

There is a reason for that, and the reason it optionally folds flat is so that the top of the adjacent storage area can fold over the shifter to create a massive flat work desk.

If you don't want to use the desk, you just leave the shifter up. And if you don't need or want a truck shifter, you can change it out for a rotary dial shift in just a few minutes.

Nothing wrong with doing that.
Just make sure it's done when nobody is watching. Lol

Kinda like the booger pickers that wait for the red light to go all in.
-> Bad form. Haha
