On another note my cars software has been a little buggy and I can’t figure it out even after multiple resets. My phone sometimes won’t pair so I can’t make calls (but then sometimes does) and now my and my wife’s phone when making a call, we can’t hear the other person talking but they can hear us. Any thoughts from anyone?
That is unfortunate…can the infotainment screen be rebooted?
In my Plaid it is pretty abrupt if you let off the “gas” pedal which I never really do. The only time i really do it is if my right foot has an itch and I have to scratch it. If that happens I make sure no one is close behind me before I do it.

Do you have an iPhone? If so, time to switch to Android 🤣
JK. Occasionally BT doesn't connect, I just turn BT on and off and problem fixed. I don't have any issues with phone calls, I did a one hour call yesterday

It can, but not sure how helpful it would be in this case. Not sure if S has scroll wheels on the steering wheel, but on the 3 and Y, you would hold down the two scroll wheels for 10+seconds and the screen reboots.

Yes I have an iPhone and no I’m not converting lol. I have done multiple hard resets and have done the BT on off and tried to re-pair it and it didn’t work a few times and then magically the next day or hours later it just worked. This was when my phone wouldn’t connect when I was on a road trip and a couple times locally.
The bigger issue is the car isn’t allowing us to hear calls from the speakers in the car but I can play music from my phone. It’s something with the car because it happens with both my wife and my iphones.

Sheep 🤣
Well, this is a case for Tesla service. I have zero issues with both our Y and 3, my wife has an older Google Pixel which connects flawlessly with both cars. Daughters phone as well. We all have Androids
My issue is after a call connects it will drop the BT connection and go to the phone, but it seems to be connected still for my voice, the other persons voice is just coming out of the phone. Then it will sync back up to the car after 3-4 seconds...
For example when this happens the music kicks back on but the other party can't hear it...

what if you go wired and turn off the BT? Problem still exist?
Ironically I wouldnt bat an eye as that's usually the response when you bring this up with a tech genius at a dealership or up to a genius at the apple store.
I do find it odd, that the one thing that works like clockwork with infotainment, is that bt always finds a way to junk itself, with software updates or upgrading to a modern device newer the then the vehicle hardware. Updates will fix the issue from apple, but its a trend.

I'm guessing Jill's experience with Toyota's explains everything....outdated tech
Quick story. About 10 years ago I went with a friend to an Apple store, it was my first time ever stepping foot in one. He was buying a Mac book. It was a very interesting experience, I felt like I had entered a temple. Anyway, he asks the associate about Anti-Virus, and the associate basically tells him Macs are invulnerable to viruses, worms and compromises. He said it so matter of fact. Being an IT professional for more than 20 years, that's the biggest load of garbage I ever heard, so I looked at the associate, and I asked him "Is brainwashing included?" Dude looked at me with a blank stare, I don't think even sunk in until later because they never get push back from Apple customers

In the same ole reliable Toyota as Jill…have had 2 MacBooks since 2007/2008. Bought the 2nd MacBook in 2016 I want to say. Still use one from 2016 to this day. The one from 2007/8 still powers on and runs just have to keep it plugged in. They’ve outlasted my windows computers. Received a new windows computer this past Christmas (idk what kind I haven’t opened the box) but it will be only used to tune my car. My tuner said the windows computer I’ve been using to tune is slow. 🫣
Back on somewhat topic, just use CarPlay. It’ll be fine. 😁 onIy “vehicles” that doesn’t have CarPlay…the tractor and the side by side. Carplay the world!!
At a point in time that was true since mac os just never sold in numbers for attention from bad actors. However love geniuses parroting outdated training material like that lol. That blue shirt aint free

There is no doubt that Apple makes great products that last, but nothing is invulnerable, which is my point, thus hearing that BS hit a nerve. I'm going to layoff on anymore Toyota discussion because it's not productive. I was making a joke earlier, btw
