A PHEV should have the same instant throttle response with the embedded electric motor
Except it doesn't. Model Y motors have 384 HP combined, Model 3 has 394 HP combined while Rav4 electric motor has 174 HP and a tiny battery to power it

There isn't a mainstream PHEV that has anything like the response of an actual EV. It's not even close. In pretty much every case there's a relatively weak motor driven by a relatively small battery.
Can't tell about the interior, but that's the car I was looking for when I found my plaid. Red with 19" wheels. But I wanted the white interior and the wood trim. That probably had the carbon fiber interior. In the end, once I saw the same car in black, I changed my mind. Really like the carbon fiber interior trim too. Glad I got what I got, and if I ordered a new one, I'd probably go black with white interior again. When it is clean, it looks really good.
that red one not a plaid but does have white interior.
I think it has wood inside.

i think you're not including the gas engine output?

Not even close is being generous. From a stop, a RAV4 Prime becomes a distant memory, like the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Doesn't help that it has to drag a heavy underpowered engine. But my philosophy is, if a Phev works for someone, than buy one. I prefer instant torque that keeps me up with the more expensive big boys

In EV mode there is no engine until the battery runs out. But even with combination of engine/EV drivetrain, they are no match for either of my Tesla's. That includes efficiency
I have. Rav4 Prime. Both my Model Y and 3 drive superior to it, have better performance, and are more efficient. Works for you, not for me.
Let's not discuss M3 Comp here, wrong forum
I remember you saying you rented a gas non hybrid RAV4. Wasn’t aware you got behind the wheel of a Prime.
Hey I didn’t bring up the M3 comp, only responded to it. Plus you’re MIA in the non EV forum🧐

At least that my sentiment of the two from owning a PHEV and renting the same EV 4x

With 302hp battery assisted horsepower with ECVT that should mimic an EV

C&D has the RAV4 Prime 1 sec behind your model Y 0-60.
Red light bully. If you’re at the light next to a Bimmer and it’s squatting, you’re in for a fight!!

California must be flat because my friend can’t drive his ‘23 Model Y LR (20 inch wheels) 210 miles without stopping for charging and keeping the speed under 78mph.

.
RAV4 PHEV uses a dual electric motor set up. The front does the bulk of the work and the rear motor kicks in only when needed. Torque is instant and no different than a BEV when running full electric

it is nothing of the sort. There may be some instant torque, but there’s not very much if it.

A lot to respond to. I drove my coworkers 2024 RAV4 Prime. Sorry, doesn't come close to either my Model Y or 3. Not even a little. I've also raced a few, both at a dig and rolling. Same in both cases. Must be that front wheel bias. Must be the extra weight of that small engine. Don't know what to say, remember C&D launches cars in perfect conditions on perfect roads. I'm about real world. 4.1 seconds on bad California roads. Every time.
You understand that you have to keep bringing up double and triple the price boosted M3's just to give me competition, right?
20" wheels make a huge difference. I have 19" on both cars. Also the newer Model Y is way more efficient. My Y takes two 10 mins super charging stops to SoCal vs my only one in the Model 3, which is more efficient.
Look, Im not against people driving Phevs, people like them and I respect that. BEVs are just better for me in my usage scenario
