That program was so bad. Its like they went to some consulting firm, asked them "can you implement as many cost cutting protocols you can think of into a new small entry CUV." It meets that goal impressively, but then as a customer your left with what makes this a premium product that carries the Volvo moniker exactly?
Side note, Volvo dealers and mfg are in tussle with a metric ton of unsold XC40 recharges on the docks stateside.
Ok, so lets breathe deeply and understand that cars like EX30 are the most popular size vehicles in EU and other similar regions.
In fact, EX30 has been their 3rd best seller globally, despite being an EV, and 60% of their EV sales.
Now I hear it has a lot of android automotive problems, hopefully that got fixed.
Yesterday we were invited to a friends house for a dinner party, and he is one of those individuals that has gone 100 percent EV
He drives the Model Y Performance, wife drives the Lucid Air RWD, and son drives the Ford Mach-E across the street. I asked him how the Lucid has been so far, and lots of software bugs, and an issue with the door closing. Other than that, he says the car drives really well. Asked him what he's going to do after the lease...he said probably replace it with a Model S.
BTW, there's a Semi behind our build at a Tesla facility next door to us:
I'm going to try and get a closer look if they let me
Having driven one myself and talking to my friend who lives with one day to day, I wouldn't get one. The reasons: 1) Crappy software 2) Only one service center in all the Bay Area. He's been waiting more than two months to get an appointment for issues like the door not closing properly. I don't go by Savagegeese, who doesn't own one or live day to day with one. Although I do like his reviews, which are fair

Actually that is his own Lucid that he owns and daily drives. He's had 2 or 3 of them. The technology has gotten much better, and for me I have a service center conveniently local. I loved the one I drove, my only issue was the EV powertrain whine which apparently they have solved in the 25 models, he talks about that in the video.

Great review. I rarely watch car reviews anymore but I do remember him being harsh.
I'm seeing the Honda Prologue A LOT now. Honda has a huge smash hit on their hands.
Acura ZDX and the Prologue are moving because they have amazing one pay deals. Its a no brainer lease. Whether thats sustainable long term and how much Honda is making or rather loosing per unit sold is anyones guess?
That being said, the Prologue seems to suffering from QC concerns. The ZDX I have not kept up so TBD.

This is exact reason why my buddy picked up one. He seems to like it but the lease deal definitely helped sway his decision.
Yesterday I finally got a chance to try out a co-workers 2024 Prius. There's no reason to go into a deep dive, and I'll refrain from commenting too much as to not offend anyone (I'm talking to you @BayeauxLex ), I'll just say after driving it, it's not a car for me. Also, the $40k price tag on it my coworker paid, I just don't see it. Lastly, it's almost criminal this wasn't built as a full EV, because the platform is fully optimized to operate as a BEV
