How TF didn't Ford engineers think of this scenario? It's so obvious.
According to Ford, if the 12V battery discharges unexpectedly—particularly below 8.4 volts—while the vehicle is off, the front door electronic latches may retain their last lock or unlock status. This means if a driver or front passenger exits using the mechanical interior release and then closes the door, it may remain locked with no way to open it from outside.
no way to open it from outside!? have had the 12v dead on our gv60 unfortunately, but dealer replaced the battery. anyway, it can be unlocked from outside with a spare key they give you in a lock behind the flush door handle. works fine. could then open the hood, jump the car, and get it where it needed to be.
