Just imagine this scenario: You're driving an AMG C63 (2018-2021), and you've smoked a lot of cars with that 4.0L V8. You see two chaps driving in a Model S, and you want to add another notch to your belt, so you pull up to them at the light. You see the driver and passenger look at each other and giggle like teenage boys (both with white beards ), and now you really want to wipe the smiles off their faces. Light turns green and you hear the sound your V8 roaring, your wheels hook up, but that Model S is disappearing in the distance. You have no idea what just happened, maybe something go stuck, maybe your tires didn't hook up properly, who knows. So then you see the Model S in the distance stopped at another red light. So you time it so that you can shoot past them when the light turns green for a come back win, but to your shock, even though you are around 50 mph somehow that Model S disappears in the distance, and you feel like you are moving in slow motion..again.
The two guys in the Model S were me and a coworker test driving one, btw
I just think the 500 is the better car because there is the option to use Apple CarPlay
Tesla has every app natively built into it that you would be using with CarPlay. I used to love Android Auto, even spent a lot of money adding it to my Lexus, and now I can care less about it. Once you drive a Model S, none of that other stuff matters...
BTW, this wasn't an invitation to get into a AA/ACP debate 😂

Something different - 2 wheel EVs 😁. At the shop where I get my tires/wheels swapped. All I know about these motorcycles are that their range is between 150 and 350 km depending on which model you get. Made in California 😁

U.S. Electric Vehicle Sales Increase More Than 10% Year Over Year in Q1: GM Drives EV Growth While Tesla Declines
Thursday April 10, 2025
Nearly 300,0001 new electric vehicles (EVs) were sold in the first quarter of 2025 in the U.S., according to the latest report from Kelley Blue Book, an increase of 11.4% year over year.
Despite many obstacles — and what you may read elsewhere — electric-vehicle sales continue to grow at a healthy pace in the U.S. market. Roughly 7.5% of total new-vehicle sales in the first quarter were electric vehicles, an increase from 7% a year earlier.
%age changes don't mean that much for sales but market share does and ev share still growing.
Had a road trip today in my Plaid about an hour and a half from me and hit some pockets of traffic. I used FSD almost the whole way and it was mostly phenomenal. Didn’t make one mistake. The only thing I didn’t like was that sometimes it would change lanes a bunch of times like it was getting impatient and would kind of cut cars off going in and out of lanes sometimes going from left lane and going two lanes to the right and shortly after going two lanes to the left back in the left lane.
The other thing I didn’t like is that it would camp in the left lane sometimes when it could easily get over to the right lane.

I keep it in aggressive because standard drives me crazy. I don’t mind aggressive but it’s knowing how to be aggressive which clearly shows its limitations. Plus why would it camp out in the left lane when it’s not going to go faster than the right lane making it drive exactly how Marylanders drive.

My brother in law who now uses FSD 99 percent of the time says it learns and adopted to his driving style.
Hurry mode will make it camp in the left lane, although it will move to the right if someone tailgates. "Chill" setting it won't camp in the left lane
I remember using chill based on recommendation from my friend. I want to say whatever modes above chill (I tried it once) I felt it was accelerating from red lights (if 1st vehicle at the light) and stop signs too aggressively imo. Also he advised me to use whichever mode had minimal lane changes. Can’t remember if it would camp in lanes. Overall we were happy with FSD.

Dear EV Penthouse...
You might get yourself pregnant if you ever drove a Plaid.

Ah that’s why it was camping in the left lane, I was in hurry mode. I was going over the speed limit but cars on the right of me were passing me so I felt weird just cruising along vs getting over in the right lane.
