because you provided no context, just "tesla rul3z!"
There is no battery conditioning.
article doesn't mention that, but seems like a very relevant factor and that testing should be done WITH preconditioning because unless one is a dolt they would precondition in such awful conditions.
CAA did the test but you didn't bother to read anything.
i don't care who did it. but i did watch the ctv video and noticed the representative of the caa in her clown suit.

I never mentioned Tesla. I do find it hilarious you are desperately defending the worst EV on the road. Don't know what your personal attack on that woman is all about.
That doesn't help people that buy the current version. No one should buy this SUV the charging curve is horrendous. Couldn't find the test I was thinking of but here's another
Subaru version (same vehicle) went up in flames during a charging stop. Half baked effort at best avoid this vehicle completely the battery management is industry worst.
So on a roadtrip if it requires 2 stops, you can’t DC charge this?
I don't know about that, but I wouldn't take it on a road trip because you will be spending a lot of time charging. It's the same reason my daughter doesn't take her Bolt on trips and borrows my Tesla when she heads out of town

wasn't defending it at all the lexus ev is really bad at charging and range. ok? i just felt your posted screen grab lacked context (without going to the link) like the test was done below freezing. and it was a 'tesla' oriented (named) site and tesla coming out on top. it fit your narrative.
i guess the freezing part is easy to assume if one is where you are in canada. of course where i am such a 'test' would be a lot different. i'm sure the lexus ev as a daily driver around here would be just fine.

i just felt the clown look was a good fit for these generally useless 'studies' and 'tests'... reminds me of both consumer reports here and j.d. power... both clickbait drivel with bad statistics as far as cars go. maybe good for 'toaster research' or something like that.

Among the best-performing models were the Chevrolet Silverado EV and Polestar 2, both retaining 86 percent of their advertised range.
Smoke that in your narrative pipe.

Article is about cold weather charging.

You went with the ad hominem as usual. First attack me for being biased (for the 1 millionth time) then attack the appearance of that woman.
Brings back the Caddie of yesteryear, when they were top dog in the luxury boat anchor game. i dont know if its showcase their design chops or whats in the pipeline but it would nice to caddy to bring land yachts as fashionable.
The next generation Jaguar is following a similar mantra from the looks of it. Exclusive design, upper tier pricing (not sure on this one), retro modern ev design.

If I were to take a guess, I would probably say no, this design will probably never make it out the door, although it is very similar to the Lucid Air. Lucid only sold a little over 10k units last year. It would definitely be refreshing to see a retro design, but I think we are in a different era where everyone wants an SUV
feels like the 800th caddy 'concept' in recent years that will never see the light of day.

many car makers will attempt to go up market because they can't make it competitively in the mass market. but if you go upmarket and leave the broader market your costs SKYROCKET. this is something porsche, mercedes and others found out a long time ago which is why their lower end models are important for survival, plus as 'entry points' into their brand.
Germany’s economy is driving off a cliff. The car industry is behind the wheel.
[snip]The automotive industry fueled Germany’s rise as Europe’s economic powerhouse. Now, that same sector is in crisis — and is taking the country down with it.
Automakers are facing a perfect storm: a shift from the combustion engine, which showcased German engineering, to less complex electric vehicles where Germany doesn’t control crucial battery technology. They are also battling slumping demand for electric vehicles in Europe, high energy and labor costs, a collapse of sales in their key market of China, and the arrival of aggressive Chinese rivals on the continent.

Rivian delivered on their promise to be gross profit positive in Q4 haters will say it's only because of regulatory credits but so what, profit is profit.
