It's a mortal sin to put windows on an industrial terminal. Lol
At least that's my take on it
Linux all the way for that, IMO.
Especially one that's connected to the internet. From the app, you can see the status of Superchargers, and even start a charging session. Yeah, not a good idea
Apple would never unless forced. Tesla charges $0 licensing fees for NACS.

And EV ownership will be better for this decision. It also opens up a small revenue stream for Tesla, although it's probably more breakeven for them
Yeah this isn't out of the goodness of Tesla's heart lol. Theres a huge upside for them selling charging through their network.
Windows XP is still common in ATMs and hospital systems.
In 2009 the company I worked for at the time acquired a manufacturing company in San Jose. Their accounting/ERP system was not only running on a 486, but was running Win95, and the Accounting/ERP system was a demo that some guy brought on floppy that he was developing and trying sell...back in the mid 90's. They were running some pirated email software on an old computer that was basically a virus compromised SPAM host that was also running as a command and control server. Their network was a bunch of daisy chained 10mbps Hubs (not switches) and their cabling was cat 5 cables that one of the guys who worked their just threw through the ceiling from room to room. Their internet was DSL, and their router was whatever the DSL company gave them. I was able to modernize them a bit, but to this day they just pretty much do what they want, their manager doesn't like to be told what software they can or cannot run (most of it is stuff they pirate), that he needs to pay for licensing and support, so I just isolated them on their own network and let them have at it
I haven't used a Windows computer in 15+ years. Its been glorious lol
We recently got my son a PC for PC games and neither my wife or I can figure out how to do anything.
I feel the same way about Mac's. To me they do things backwards, like when they used to have CD/DVD players you had to move it to the trashcan to open the CD tray. I absolutely love Windows 11, I can manage all our infrastructure, including our Linux servers. I used a Mac for awhile to manage our network, but I had to either use Remote Desktop or I had to run a Windows Virtual machine to manage our infrastructure.

A lot of it is just what you're used to, same way with Apple and Android. Obviously we don't do anything like manage servers etc.
Windows 11 has egregious spying features. And you no longer own it MS can revoke your license at any time (read the updated terms).
If MS made a car you'd press the start button to turn it off. Oh wait some cars including EVs have this never mind.
The thing is, we are heavily integrated in MS services. We use MS365, Azure AD etc. It all ingrates into Windows. We can control windows settings on remote computers, and if a computer is corrupted, we can push a new image to it remotely using Copilot. We are way, way deep into Microsoft's ecosystem, so if they spy or not, doesn't really matter because there is no alternative

Exactly, I totally agree with that. The IT manager absolutely loves Macs, and uses one for work, although he has to go through lots of extra steps. It's what he's used to. Myself, I've been using Windows since the Win 3x days

What a disaster!
Yeah, not much anyone can do to help them. Lol
Windows is "ok" on terminals, just makes me barf and rant a little.
