how many chargers would you need to match the efficiency of moving in and out gas cars when filling up? 12-1 ratio?
12-1? maybe 3:1. gas filling is what, 5 minutes? ev charging is typically 10-20 minutes with DC.
and at buc-ees i bet the average gas car customer spends 20-30 minutes. so it's a no brainer for ev charging as well. 1:1.

I still do not see the business case (other than in some niche locations) Roll up, plug in and go inside and 10/15 or 20 minutes later emerge…you need A LOT of chargers. The largest buc-ees has 100 pumps…so we talking 300-400 chargers here? Sure it is possible, but it would be a niche thing.
I will say, what would be a really great idea is if you can make a reservation to a charger. So pay a fee, and that charger only is available for you at let’s say 3 PM. That would be a great idea.
what does that even mean? and it's buc-ees

you missed my point entirely. people filling with GAS are still likely to leave their cars at the pump for 20-30 minutes when they go into the giant on-site store for fresh bbq and many other goodies, plus bathrooms, etc.
so in that scenario, chargers only need the same amount of time as gas pumps.

i meant what did you mean buc-ee's is 'a niche place'?
