My mother is like that with stuff. As a result I am the opposite. Having stuff piled around really stresses me out. That’s why I don’t want multiple cars.

Is the Audi the only other car you’re considering other than another Tesla pat? I know how you feel, I loved my Jeep Grand Cherokee enough that even though my first one was awful I rolled the dice on another one.

When I mentioned to my wife getting another Tesla she paused for a second and said I’m not giving any money to that company since she works the federal government but I told her who gives a crap as long as the product is good and she shrugged and said ok.

I may also check out an Audi E-tron GT depending on the lease deals but likely LEASING a plaid because I don’t love paying $15k to get out of this car.
Plaid at lease numbers is definite no boss. At those numbers check out a Taycan.

I want another electric car but not sure any others have the versatility and power of the Plaid at it's price point but it depends on the lease deals. The Taycan I would want is way more expensive and Porsche don't usually lease well so that is likely out which is why I am considering the E-Tron GT.

Plaid lease numbers are way better than what I was paying for my last one so at least in terms of monthly payment I would be saving money. For the Taycan I would want it would likely not even be in the same ballpark as the Plaid. Heck I just got a Cayenne GTS and although it was optioned up pretty well, it would have been $1,000+ more a month to lease than a Plaid right now and that is cheaper than a Taycan.

Honestly the lease is just so straightforward and the downside risk on value is so high that I would take the lease even if it weren’t “a good deal”

Watching a video now of the refresh Rivian RIS, might be a contender to replace the Pacifica…

Right, the reason I bought the first Plaid is because the lease deals weren't great and you weren't allowed to buy out the lease and I always like that option. Also, at the time the interest rate on a loan was 1.74% so I bought it. Dumb me didn't think about the potential for a huge drop in price since I have never experienced that before which hyper-depreciated my car. You know what they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Whats the range on the Rivian and how’s the charging infrastructure where you guys travel to mostly? Or you would take your car on trips?

how come? I have a few friends that left the Florida market. The real estate taxes are going up too much so they sold their vacation properties.

definitely is nice to travel with less.

Wouldn’t just keeping your Tesla plaid be the right thing to do? From a low cost financial perspective

For the money, there just isn't anything that matches the Plaid. And like you mentioned, people are telling me the same thing you're wife said to you, and I just tell them if the product is good, it's just noise that will eventually pass. But yes, you should definitely look at other offerings on the market so you know you've made the best decision. But do it quickly, because there is a bill being proposed by 14 Senators that will not only revoke the tax credits, but will impose additional taxes on EV'S because "they destroy roads" . If this goes through, it will kill EV's from all the legacy automakers, probably only Tesla will survive

The Dodge Charge Daytona EV is almost 6k lbs which is insane. Someone mentioned it’s the same weight as TWO of their 1986 M3s.
