Watching right now, one thing I'll say about Savagegeese...their comedic timing is impeccable

Pros:

Styling
Can be configured with multiple colors and options
Roomier than most minivans
Drives and handles better than other traditional minivans like the Sienna, Odyssey, and Carnival
Excellent lifestyle vehicle

Cons:

Software implementation- more geared for the tech savvy
Range
slow charging
No heat pump in the US
Expensive even before dealership markups

My wife is away for the next week and a half. I see some test drive opportunities ahead of me.

None of the "cons" are really issues for us. We almost exclusively charge at home, get no benefit from a heat pump, would mostly drive this locally and I'm not a luddite.

It actually looks really good to me, my hold back would be the price. Most trips we do are in the Y. The 2025 Sienna is also overpriced, so between this and the Sienna would be a no brainer....I would take the ID.Buzz

My local VW dealer still isn't allowing test drives on the Buzz. They've had the same 4 parked outside their dealership for 2 months now

And if the cameras are already there for 360 exterior view, the production cost to add recording capability is very close to zero.

If you want good visibility you do need a different camera. My S580 for instance has a forward camera that records from up at the top of the windshield like any aftermarket dashcam, and then it uses the surround view cameras to record if any impact is registered. Thats good enough that I haven't installed the dashcam I had in my previous two cars, but I would rather it also had a regular rear camera.

Every new car IMO should have 360 cameras, and with inexpensive USB flash drives record at least every drive. My daughter a few years ago got into an accident that from appearances looked like it was her fault, and the driver could have easily twisted the narrative, but she happened to be a young doctor (moved here from Iowa) who was honest to the bone

According to CR, Tesla has the fastest supercharging. And yes, my brother in law still gets the magazine 🤣

The GM engineer did tell me charging is slow when he uses Level 2. I’m sure part of that is due to how large the battery is right.

Yes, the bigger the battery, the longer it takes. My Model 3 has an 81 kWh battery pack, it would take about 6 hours to 8 hours charging at 9kW

What amp breaker are you using with your new Tesla charger?

50 amp, so the Tesla charger runs at 40 amps. If up it to 60 amps, I can get Max 48 amp which would give me around 11kW
