will not, just stationary radars that update often. Around here thats good enough.
They do keep adding features to nav all the time.
Also, live traffic in Europe is definitely from google and generally matches what waze and google do. I dont see benefit anymore from turning up waze.
i have no idea why would anyone call Tesla nav rudimentary, to me Apple maps look outdated completely.
There is absolutely nothing rudimentary about Tesla nav, it works exactly like Google maps. As someone who used Android Auto and still uses it when I drive our Hyundai, I have zero need of it in both my Tesla's
Its great that you don't want it, but thats the thing about options...just because its there you don't have to use it. Personally I think every manufacturer should offer it and not having it would make me less likely to purchase that car.
My office has a back door that has 3 EV charging spots in front of it. This moron backs in when his charge plug in above the driver side front wheel and proceeds to stretch his charging cable all the way across the roof of his car blocking access to my door. You can still squeeze by on the drivers side. Apparently he didnt want anybody doing that so he put a big note on his windshield that says "DO NOT ACCESS XXX OFFICE".
So, I unplugged his car and wrote on the back of his note "DO NOT BLOCK ACCESS TO MY OFFICE"
I'm struggling to understand why the absolute tool didn't just drive in front first?
Who knows! I went out and changed the note I left to 'If you pull in nose first you can charge your car and not block access to my office", left it unplugged.
Not to mention that middle space has been empty all day. When he went out and put that note on his windshield he could have just moved over one space.

Yep, the plug would have reached just fine and people would have just stepped over it like we always do. Not the greatest (trip hazard) but thats just the nature of how its designed.

personally speaking, I would never ever park forward in . so I don’t blame the KIA for backing in. I guess it’s a caveat of having electric charging stations. In the last 30+ years of driving, I think I have parked inward less than 10 times. Never ever in my life underground. I always reverse in

As Hameed mentioned, for optimal fast charging, the battery will precondition to get the battery to the correct temperature no matter the current outside temperature when mapped to a supercharger. For example yesterday when about 10 miles from our charging stop, preconditioning turned on, although the temp was around 72F and we were driving about 80 mph
have you used preconditioning on the ioniq 5 though? i never have, and it charges blazing fast at electrify america charging. i'm sure if it were genuinely harmful to do what i'm doing it wouldn't charge or would charge slower.
the downside to preconditioning is it shortens range because energy must be used to warm the battery!

I always back in too, but you can't block the access to somebody's office like that because you want to park a certain way. The charging port on the Pacifica is in the same spot, and when I have it and park in those spots I pull forward in because thats the only way to park without having to block the sidewalk with a stretched cable or the rear end of my car. Its about courtesy to others.
Then to double down and expect that we shouldn't have access to our door because he doesn't want us squeezing by his car is just totally absurd.
Maybe it will come but suspect it’ll be just like wireless CarPlay and not be added even though hardware supports it. Hopefully Hyundai surprises me but not hopeful.
get one of these... biggest no brainer to add wireless carplay to your ioniq 5.

the problem is the charging cable. Make it shorter or remove it altogether.
Are you using it on your Ioniq5? After reading so many 12V battery issues from Ioniq5 owners I'm anxious to attach any peripherals that might pull power excessively. I'm still thinking if I should install a dashcam or not.

I've only charged it once at an EA, it actually charged pretty slow, don't know if it was because the battery was cold, but the charger was about a mile from my house so it would have needed more time to precondition. The difference in charging speeds from a cold battery to a properly warmed battery can be quite a bit. When I was out of town earlier this summer on vacation, the Tesla chargers were about 5 minutes from my hotel so the car didn't get a chance to properly precondition the battery, and until the battery warmed properly the charging speed was about half. The extra energy it uses is not much and is worth it, and preconditioning only happens when you are your way to chargers anyway. If you precondition your battery in the mornings so your battery is efficient, you would most likely be plugged in anyway
