Yeah, a 450+ like 5 miles from me is a certified 2022 with 13k miles for $46k. 2022 certified with 21k miles is $43,500. I have actually found the styling of these has grown on me quite a bit and the interior is gorgeous as you would expect out of MB. This just seems like a whole lot of car for the money and I am a sucker for value. However, I am skeptical about the user interface which is really important to me. Tesla just makes it so easy and so intuitive. But I want to drive the MB as part of my homework to compare against the Model S.
I know the 580 is the faster version, but I don't see any of those (used) for sale near me.

I would only buy the car with the 21 inch wheels. They have a huge impact on how the car looks, it looks okay without them but amazing with them.
That’s one thing that bugs me about my S580, it has the 19 inch wheels I didn’t want. The 20s look incredible on it. To get them now would cost like $8,000.

The interface would be the main reason I wouldn't want the MB. I was talking to an EQS owner once at a charging station, and he was praising the car up and down, but when I asked him about the screens (interface), he gave me this exhausted look, and was quiet for about 30 seconds, thinking. It was like he was struggling to explain it, than just said it was the worst part of the car. But you should see for yourself. As you know, I've tested out a bunch of different EV's, and it all boils down to my opinion, what I like or hate about a car will be opposite for someone else
I just don't like how they look but its a great car, they ride great, very quiet, good tech, well built, great range.
I have no issues with the MBUX interface FYI. Not sure how tech savvy that person was, but I am very satisfied with it. The interface in the EQS is basically the same as whats in my car.
Oh it will be a big upgrade, and for that money its a ton of car. For $130k though its a notable notch below the S Class for similar money.

I don't think you have the Hyper screen they have in the EQS, which may have been what he was referring to. He was a younger guy, don't know how savvy he was. I've never used it so I can't really comment on it, but looking at reviewers, it looks pretty complex, more than it should be
Once you get the hang of it, its fine. Its complex sure, there is a lot of content there but I was fully versed in like a week.

I've only ridden as a passenger in an EQS once, never used the screen so I can't really comment except to say it looked intimidating. But you know it better than I do

as you know i like the styling, and the eqs suv even more. maybe you're not interested in an suv, but i tell ya, the eqs suv drives like a silent magic carpet.

IMO, that's a car you lease. There's really nothing to maintain except cabin filters and tires. The infotainment system would be the biggest concern if it breaks, so if I bought one I would make sure an extended warranty was available
