Random question about the JB4 in the IS200T FSport. I have everything hooked up as it should be and the car feels no different. I have the HPS charge pipe, BMS intake, awaiting the PPE catless DP from FIGS (apparently a 3-5 week wait ugh). I am also awaiting the USB cable to log/connect. I was also told that the boost gauge in the f-sport doesn't show the "tricked" boost numbers per BMS. It is almost like the device is shut off. Almost feels like the car runs better on the stock ECM. I run nothing but 93 and sometimes 93 mixed with VP MS109 (unleaded). I guess it isn't like the VAG 2.0TFSI/TSI/FSI engines where you slap on a DP, get a uni/revo/apr stage 2 flash, and it mooooves.
Yeah. It’s only funny if it don’t happen to you. With our cars we are past 2K so quick it’s not really a big deal. Also if you launch the car off stall you are over 2K anyway. Stomping it from idle yes you feel the lag, but even stock the car is impressive when launching off the stall (dare I say just as quick as my old 350).

Drive it around for a bit and you should feel a difference.
I also came from the VAG scene. I had a 2002 VW GTI 337 with every bolt on available and it was definitely noticeable. I got the 200t with the same thoughts, but Toyota ECU re-flashing is still fairly new and we're just waiting for a proper tuning program. The piggyback system does a decent job, but a re-flash tune like the APR, GIAC, UNITRONIC etc would yield more gains.

No doubt. Im going to run some logs when I get the USB cable. What is the point of the obd2 cable if it defaults to +4 psi?My MKV was GIAC S2+ w/ the handheld map selector (flawless car, regret trading it in) and I came from a modded 6th gen SS Camaro. (got rid of it because of the terrible transmission/torque converter issues that's plagueing the Stingray and Camaro). These ECMs couldn't be any more complex than the BOSCH MED9/15/17s haha.
As of now i believe there's only 2 maps available (Map 1 +4psi and Map 2 +5 psi). With the OBD port connector and the JB4 application (mobile or PC) you are able to see engine readings such as AFR, boost, oil temp etc for data logging. I know all the readings are not working since BMS still needs to make updates, but eventually you will be able to adjust boost by RPM, monitor engine vitals for E85 mix etc.

The reflash is out there. As many of us as there are for some reason we just haven’t had access to the full reflash. I’m a fan of the ea888 but the 8arfts is much more cabable. Stock ea888’s make 190-195 whp stock and 250whp apr s2/93 oct. Sheddy recorded 220whp stock somehow we’ve seen a dyno for 262whp and rumors to be more than that. We also have a torque issue however a company called dimsport is quoting 300-350tq. Our handicap seems to be access to the tune itself which is
Problem with building boost earlier than that is it can cause undue stress on the rods and rod bearings. This was the case on Mazdaspeed 3’s making boost before 3K. If you did you were almost guaranteed to vent the block.
You could be right but our platform is designed for turbocharging the Mazda isn’t. That’s pretty funny tho lol zoom-zoom-boom
For the 200t tuners here (or 350) Going to sell my F Sport filter. $45 shipped any takers? cleaned in recent 3k miles. very bright blue and taken care of. they go for $70 new
Where is the from? The torque curve on that dyno result looks sketchy.
Is sketchy a good thing? It peaks and builds back up mid curve It looks great to me. However it can definitely use improvement and an increase in power. Most of our dyno torque curve readings can be jumpy that’s because of our high compression. 1psi jumping up or down anywhere on our torque curve could be the difference of 10-15wtq which you’ll see on the dyno reading. I just wanted to point out the red line is completely stock which is what Lexus did in attempt to make the power curve feel naturally aspirated. The purple line is stock with JRC stage one tune. The green line uses only a downpipe and JRC stage two tune stock intake/exhaust.

Right! This is the kind of result i was expecting for our motor but after 3 years of ownership i am barely seeing 250whp with bolt ons. I know this is still a FWD Honda, but wow talk about potential.
