From my understanding your tuner needs to have the specific program to tune your car. The tuner i am dealing with (Wilson chiptuning) uses the Bitbox/Bitedit program. The Bitedit is the master "tuner" program that actually makes the adjustments to the tune and Bitbox is the one that allows you to read and write the files into the ECU. Both systems need a license dongle to gain access. What OV is providing should be the access to the read and write the tuned file that they are providing. They will not sell the access to the tuning program since that will be eliminating their job as a tuner.
@Zcon- I might be doing the dyno tune next week.

Same, I don’t think I’d recommend OV. He provided me with terrible service then bragged about how he didn’t need the money. Why in the world would he have another tuner tune our car when that’s his job, I think it’s more of a ploy to get us excited and back involved. OV has really only had about an hour on the dyno so I’d let them work on further dyno tuning before buying anything from them

Based on the new information tony posted about our turbo. It looks like our turbo was never really small; it’s bigger than a mk6, focus st, it’s even slightly .1 bigger than the n20 turbo! Sheddy and Dan should pull off atleast 280whp easy expecially with a few hours on the dyno. Gl guys

Thanks! We’re hoping for those results as well. My best was 239whp and the car felt great, I’m excited to see what I can get with the full dyno tune.

Alrighty boys here we go the Dyno map finally I got it from the Garage, sadly only one of my pulls registered a boost, I will try to have my Dyno redone elsewhere so we can ensure that our results are correct
The best I got that day was 266WHP and 299WTQ

So the turbo is definitely running out of flow at anything above 4500RPM, or is there another reason it cant hold peak boost?
If the turbo can hold 19PSI till 6200RPM it's easily a 300WHP motor. Torque was still rising until boost dropped off too.

@Nuke those are some really good results with the TTI Stage 2+, i can imagine with a little bit of fine tuning you can see a bit more.
@loophole35 Yes the turbo does run out of breath. When i did the BMS testing it made a huge impact on the low to mid range where the boost peaked and eventually started dropping after 4K. Could be the way the vacuum regulator is being programmed from the ECU to open the wastegate. We will see what the tuner can do to adjust it.

Yes thats an indication of a small size turbo that gives a nice punch then fades off
I hope your correct and its not a turbo size limit, and i hope your results with dyno tune will be better than mine chances of me getting a dyno tune is next to none since am literally the only tuned IS200T in region, and i don’t think Tony would ride a plane just to Dubai just for me :P

Yea i hear you! Its very rare to find a tuner for this 8AR motor since not a lot of them don't know about the tuning program or even knew that re-flashing a Lexus existed. We met Wilson (20 years tuning experience) on our dyno testing and he told us about Lexus cars that he did, but this will be his first time tuning the 8AR motor. Lets see how it goes.
Good luck, I hope he can manage to unlock the hidden power if there is more that is
