You can jam a gazillion of speakers in a 4’x5’x3’ room size and it can still sounds like ****.
The number of speakers is nothing but a marketing gimmick. A proper stereo system with just two speakers in a proper size room will beat any car stereo. It just acoustic and physic limitation of a car.

My home office sounds infinitely better than my LC!

Well of course, if you're using Focal speakers!

First not good in English but I will try
Í have some questions to get the best possible sound without change any big things.
Have the ML system in 2023 model year.
Heard of that the sound wasn´t great in the LC and I think that it sounded not really bad but not at all good.
I have had a old LS400 and a GS450h with ML and they sounded really great.
Heard of that the stereo sound better with the treble, mid and the bas at max.... a bit fader to the back and no Surround.
The fader and S I find out for myself but the other was a bit crazy but that helped and it was better.
I don´t understand why they have made the settings like that?
Maybe something with the size of the cars inside that made it difficult?
Ii´s ok sometimes just to play a CD or play with the Bluetooth and of course listen to radio or the engine but sometimes I like to listen to good sound and there be a lot better with the Android Auto USB.
Qobuz is the one I use in the home stereo and this are really good and hope to use that without the USB-cable and still have good sound quality.
How many bits and kHz could the ML read with the cable? Don´t know how much the Pixel 7 could send either?
I have the Poweramp Equalizer on my phone now but must wait sometime to try it in the car (if this sound better then to hi almost all basstreblemid
If I get one (good) android auto wireless adapter...I understand that the sound from Qobuz go by wifi and the calls from bluetooth? How many bits and kHz with the wifi?
I know that there could be CD that sounds good with the 16bits and 44100kHz but sometimes there is big difference and even on old music!
When you really will here more music you know when it´s right!
Hope someone could help with this try Google but no good answer about the numbers... stream with higher numbers that the car or phone could handle is not necessary.

This post is the best thing I have seen regarding the ML system: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lc-...l#post11640788

Thats the worst way to tune anything. It’s like pouring the whole bottle of soy sauce and sugar in your cooking and then add water until you like the taste. I can guarantee you that’s not how the sound engineer design the sound system in the LC500.

I have to agree. It's certainly one way but not ideal. I'd rather start with the settings in the middle and adjust from there. Turning off the surround sound is a good idea though. This tech was designed more for home theatre systems in larger rooms and usually doesn't work well in small environments. Still, the best advice would be to start with your source material and player. If you pumping mp3 files through the system nothing is going to bring that music back to life.

I rip CDs at m4p or flac settings and use a hi res music player on my phone. This system sounds at least as good or better than the $10k worth of system components i installed in my Lotus years ago.

My system finally sounds better with most of that post's settings. And most of my music is FLAC/Hi-Res downloads.

I get no distortion or clipping at high volumes with using that setup as a base for fine-tuning after. And I like my car audio bass-heavy.

My home systems are tuned a little more flat using RoomPerfect in my main setup and Dirac in my home office.

Agree, both my RXL, RX and LC have the ML system, the NX and ES do not. On the RXL (Beat-Sonic CarPlay) and LC (Ottocast Carplay) performing those adjustments for me made the most positive noticeable change. Streaming via WiFi also made a noticeable difference vs Bluetooth.

Obviously sound is subjective like Music Choice, the Wife is happy listening to her iPhone internal speakers.

I understand you that it sounds strange... I have never heard of any other (good) system that this could make it better.... but for me (and some others to) that tried this I must say that its better. Try and tell us then:-)
