Of course, everyone has a different sound profile that they prefer. I like surround on, treble maxed, mids at 50%, bass a dot above 50%, faded to the rear 1 or 2 dots, (I adjust depending on the song). Usually jam out around 53 to 57 volume and man this ML system bumps pretty damn hard for me.
I find the system to be great at 46+. It obviously won't compare to anything aftermarket, and to me it's pretty bad at levels under 30, but it definitely hits hard around 50 which works for me as long as I'm alone! Windows down and 52 is my sweet spot. Windows up I'm usually good at 46.

Write some more to my photos...
The sound is more "alive" with more bass, mid, treble.
Maybe it´s better when you turn up the volyme?
The car in not out in the snow here so I just visit it for some time in the garage.
I change the volyme out from the computer but that dosn´t change the sound.

I don´t know why but I often like the sound from old speakers with paper cones?
Changed some parts in them because of the 45 years...
The other system is Pioneer (1984) and speakers MP.
Qobuz streaming that I think sounds best... Tried Spotify (bad I must say as a swede:-) and Tidal. Some stuff sounds maybe better with Tidal but Qobuz sounds good with everything. But never triad others than that..."]https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clublexus.com-vbulletin/2000x1124/stereo_5aae5b01adef4ffc7610172782152c25b7d7804e.jpg[/img] This is my homestereo system: Gold Note IS-1000 (all in one) and speakers Sinus 55M (from 1979:-) I don´t know why but I often like the sound from old speakers with paper cones? I'm baffled by all the negative experiences. The ML in my LC is hitting so hard, (of course I usually listen to it around 50-55 volume), it's starting to rattle the cover screen on the rear sub. I need to take that thing out and check it...
Your baffled yet you are logging yet another negative experience?!
Audio systems develope rattles over time, especially at louder volumes. Not a negative to me, usually a quick fix. My bafflement is referring to the guys that simply don't care for the sound profile of the ML.

Same here. After I made some tweaks, my system sounds really good. I'm having the same issue with my subwoofer cover screen rattling when I really crank up songs with heavy bass. A month ago, I removed the entire bass cover section and cut out a piece of circular felt to match the size of the subwoofer and placed it between the protective screen and the subwoofer. Still getting the rattling to a certain degree. Someone in here said something about how the issue is the fabric on the protective cover somehow vibrates against the plastic mesh protective screen itself. The lexus dealer sent it to an upholstery shop that glued the fabric to the plastic and it solved the issue.

Not sure where the posts are but those of us in the beginning snipped off the entire hard plastic grill and the rattles are gone. Take grill off subwoofer....carefully cut all of the hard plastic off....put back on and now the subwoofer will only bump against the OEM fabric. No rattles now!
