This past weekend trip I was going to study any perceivable difference in wireless versus wired connection to the phone.
However I realized that without wireless charging on any long trip the phone will be tucked away in the console on cable, as nav and music use considerable battery.
And not sure if my ears are trained enough to notice such a difference in a moving vehicle.
I would suggest listening to a song track that you are very familiar with. That makes it is easier to hear differences between BT vs Aux in any of my vehicles so far.
The coupe and convertible pieces must be mounted differently. The panel on our convi comes on/off easily.
I never heard such bad resonances on our coupe. I though at first it might be the convertible mechanisms resonating. So glad the solution is so simple and effective.
THAT is my problem. Now that our AZ summer is over my top will not go up til next year.
I am surprised how decent the system sounds with the open sky above, though.
I am moving to AZ this week and my top will probably stay down all winter. I guess that is the difference between me and you. I am coming from a Salt Lake City winter. AZ 75 deg winter is balmy

Wasn't really simple for me. Modified it already but started to distort again

Welcome to Paradise, my friend.
Maybe we can get our LC's together for a photo op.
Any updates for solving the problem to the convertible subwoofer noise beside hacking it? Thanks.
I put some thin insulation (with tape on one side, like you might use to weather strip a door) on the inside of the speaker cover. Where the edge of the subwoofer contacts the cover (you can see the impressions). Worked for me.
Just make sure the cover fully snaps into place when you put it back.
But, Lexus should resolve this. Should not be hard to fix.

I do not remember hearing the blurps in the coupe, just our convertible.
It is really easy to remove the panel and snip out the offending plastic area. Really easy. Just need a small pair of snips. The plastic is soft. You can do it.
And Lexus should never have allowed this to happen. No one remembered to listen to it I guess.

Thanks, will try the insulating strip first, if that fails I'll cut away the plastic.

I tried the forums fixes on my vert and still having periodic bass distortion. Utah Lexus dealer is aware of it but not fix. I moved to Arizona last couple of months and will try their service once I take it in for service interval. I would hope they come up with a more standard fix.
