for me i have 2 in my mind :
https://audison.com/fr/product/af-c8-14-bit/ very good DSP ,good amp and AUX digital IN , if you are planning adding a DAP by digital or BT LDAC etc
https://www.audiocontrol.com/car-aud...fiers/d-61200/ if you want to stay stock

The Audio control unit has a tighter S/N Ratio 102 vs 98.5. meaning its a little quieter on the floor noise/a little cleaner sound. But at my age they would both sound great.

Made some suggested equalizer changes I saw on here to make the ML system sound a hell of a lot better. It sounds amazing now, but I'm getting a vibrating/rattle sound coming from the rear subwoofer area when the bass really hits. Looks like I need to remove this panel and either clip the plastic grill or use some type of dampening tape. I have the coupe and when looking at the pic above, it seems like there is some white strap attached to both the panel and the rear seating. Is this accurate? Easily removable?

it's been a while but yes there is that strap as you can see and i presume it could be removed by cutting it out, or maybe removing the brackets on either the cover or the seat area (from what i can see).

just curious, at what volume level are you getting this rattling? no issue here.

Usually over 40, but I tweaked my EQ settings more to the rear to prevent the sound being so front heavy. Ever since I did that, the system really booms but the vibration from the sub housing is getting progressively worse and more annoying. Usually with EDM and HIp Hop music.

Edit.....So it's fairly ease to pull that housing off? Just pull straight back from the very top of it and it comes off?

I tweaked according to this advice.from Asong1......ML Audio

Considering having experienced the ML in home Audio equipment and Pioneer, Pioneer middle of the road good choice, ML superior choice higher end. As far as mobile audio, no comparison that I've done.

At one point I had two RXL's at the same time, one had the stock system and one had the ML system. To my ears, the stock sounded just as good using the wired port connection for music. I did wonder why did we pay extra for the ML system. Then I got the LC Vert which also has the ML system. Again, I thought big deal, no discernible difference in sound quality (actually kind of disappointed). But following the setup guidelines in this thread and making the adjustments as suggested, mind blowing difference. Went and made the same changes to the RXL and now it's worthwhile. I'm now happy with the system.

Thanks tecman, for me the most noticed difference was turning off the "surround sound" and then only using the USB input (which has now been replaced with an OTTOCAST for wireless CarPlay).
