I have what appears to be a blown speaker in the passenger door of a 2018 with the ML system. This is in the lower portion of the door. Where can I find a replacement (other than a dealer) or a spec for the speaker? I am new to this forum and appreciate any help you folks can offer.
FYI for those not happy with the sound from the ML system. Much of the concern could easily be coming from the source player - not the sound system itself. This would apply to any music, podcasts, etc. being played from a phone or other device only, not the radio or other sources integral to the head unit itself. Personally, I'm happy with the sound, especially in a convertible which tend to make for poor sound stages, but changing the music app on my phone made a huge difference. I've been using VLC as the music app and my library are all lossless ALAC (M4P) files. I switched to USB Audio Player Pro which is a high resolution player and the sound is much better. The app also supports Tidal and other services natively so it can improve the sound from those sources as well. If you're files are MP3 it will help improve the quality for those as well but seriously, if you're playing MP3 files, you aren't listening to music anyway - that is a crappy format. The app is pretty cheap and there's a free trial version you can test out for yourself. I highly recommend it.
Please how did you de activate Active Nosie Control (ANC) after your subwoofer install?
hello guys we just did a full system in this car I mean the customer said Lexus and every other shop told him you can’t turn that radio up more than 48-50 without it turning off but it sounds horrible. Well now the radio at 35 sounds amazing. We put 2 8” speakers , 2 4” behind the seat 2 4” in the dash, and a 10w7 jl in the back, problem is that car never fully goes to sleep the active cancellation Mic was the hardest part

I installed the USB audio player Pro app $7.99 on my android phone and am blown away by the difference in sound quality. No more complaints about the ML sound coming from me.

Major difference right? I haven't yet played with the EQ and other features so I'll bet you can coax even better sound quality out of it in time.
WRONG, if you bothered to read and look at the photos.
Also, do you really find it necessary to reply to all 13 recent threads AT ONCE?!? You don't have that much useful to contribute. Ease into the forums as an newb.
Anyone who uses the word "newb" smh what a weenie.

I believe it is as simple as pulling one of the plugs on the amplifier in the trunk area, as least in the IS models. I think I read that in another thread.

I am very interested in getting this USB Audio Player Pro but can't find the app for my Iphone. Any suggestions? What does the app look like?
Weil, one of the reasons why there is such a product like USB Audio Player Pro (UAPP) for Android and not IoS is that Android opens it's OS to developers (including the ability to access hardware components) while Apple is more closed off. What makes UAPP such a good player is it's ability to bypass some hardware on Android phones and access the codec directly allowing the phone to play hi res audio through UAAP. Apple doesn't support that. The smart a$$ remark would be to tell you to switch to a "real" phone like an Android phone. But, I've been telling my wife that for years and it hasn't worked yet.
Keep in mind that what makes UAPP so good isn't the EQ. Its the ability to play hi res music files. This means your files need to be hi res to begin with. I have converted a bunch of CD's to ALAC format (now open source .M4P) with the iTunes app for Windows so all my audio files are lossless conversions. The problem was always that there was no app able to play them, at their highest quality, in that hi res, lossless format - with or without an EQ. Without hi res files, you might get slightly better sound with an EQ but not substantially better. The audio system in the car does have a "basic" 3-band EQ. A 6 or 8 band EQ isn't going to magically make the music sound better if you're playing .mp3 files.
Thanks for the reply. Since I don't have music files in hi res, lossless format I guess I am stuck with crap. Would using Tidal make a significant difference without any other changes?
I don't use Tidal but I believe they do stream hi res or lossless files. Not sure if that's an upcharge or not - you'd have to look into it. If yes, then that will make a big difference.
CD rips even lossless still be a CD quality, not a HI res like SACD or any other Digital HiFi format.
if you download HIFi and high bitrate files in lossless format from torrent resources or bought a blue ray with digital music album on it then it will be a High res audio
