Here is a link of how I connected the OEM camera to the Headunit in my 2006 GS

Figured I’d update this, but all these months later I am very happy with it. Every time I go to the dealer, a different employee asks me where I got it, and the times I’ve had people in the car, even the ones who could not care less about cars love it. All in all, a great upgrade. Prompted me to buy a unit for my RX350

Included are the last pics ill take, anything else would be redundant. Like aristo said, despite being several hundred dollars, I have no regrets purchasing. Really adds something special that my car was lacking, especially because it was a non-nav/camera car to begin with.

If anyone has any questions, message me and I'll try to answer, but I cant find anything wrong with the unit yet.
Just installed my back up camera. I had some trouble taking the trunk apart but it looks great.

I went off Aristo post and purchased the Nikita. Very happy with it. see below.

Alright guys, whoever have this unit and is looking to install a backup camera. Well after 2 weeks and over $500+ and trying out 35+ backup camera that is out there on the market, pretty much everything that is on amazon.

I've learned a lot. 98% of backup camera that are out there are totally cheap and the quality is a disgrace but one. Ive literally have tried evey single camera that is on amazon right now. From license plate, to stand alone backup camera from infrared to leds to night vison.....let me tell you something all bs!!!!!

the highest quality and clearest backup camera is the natika.

Wow I'm a few days away from picking up an '06 GS as a snow trip car and love the look of this but I can't find any shop that would even try to install this or has experience installing it in NorCal as it seems like everyone did a self install.

If you have a screwdriver and a towel (to protect the headunit from the bare gearshift ****), you can do this yourself. Read through this whole thread before, during and after your install in order to gleen the important points. It's actually a pretty nice unit. I like it a lot.

You can definitely do this yourself. Plug and Play.

hello, quick question. I have the **** version and I'm having a small issue with it. When it's really cold the screen goes black til the car heats up. I'm thinking of trying the one you have. two concerns though. how is the sound of your compared to the factory radio? and on mine I use a 2T hard drive through usb. did you ever get your USB to work?

It sounds nice. I had to fine tune the volume setting under the console setting of the screen. I was only able to get the 32GB flash drive working. My 64GB didn't work, maybe because it's a USB3.1 or formatted in exFAT instead of FAT32.

I don't have any issues with my screen in cold weather **knock on wood**
