Tesla Syle Headunit
Sorry not installed yet. I just unboxed it yesterday but didn't have time to install. Will likely put it in this coming weekend. It came with a lot of adapter harnesses and a canbus decoder box + android "DVD" (but apparently Android Auto/Apple Carplay) converter box thing.
Excited for Android Auto- I had it in a rental and I liked it.

Let us know the specs. I see that the PX6 units are out on aliexpress. It could be a fake but you never know.
Update:. The bad.
Hazards does not work
Rear camera does not work (this really peeves me)
Aux in is so weak it's worthless
Rear speakers seem to work? I get music in the speakers in the rear doors and the rear OEM sub under the rear window bumps, but when you use the balance feature to shift all the music to the back the music just drops off.
Canbus decoder box was included, it also has a two lead harness to be plugged into the OBD2 plug- not sure what it is getting from this, I guess other canbus data.
The OEM gps (I'm assuming) antenna is not used but instead theirs. Too bad. There is an un-used OEM harness and I can't help but wonder if that is for the backup camera
There are some flying leads in the aftermarket harness, maybe for aftermarket speaker installs?
The not so bad:
Easy to change C to F, and I do get temp not just high/low, and duel seems to work
Little bit of learning curve, climate is not intuitive
Settings I changed to North America radio and it scanned automatically
Gotta update the boot image, it's a cheesy lambo
Pending checks:
Android auto box thing
Get within WiFi range to setup Google account band update maps and apps

So to see if there really is a newer gen model with faster CPU and stuff, need someone with it to run AIDA64 and post a screenshot for me to see. I wouldn't mind upgrading my current tesla head unit, since it's pretty slow to me and boots up very slow (sucks when I need to adjust A/C right when car turns on, but have to wait for the head unit to fully boot up first, lol).
After looking at aliexpress for the PX6 units, I see they say its Android 8.0, so the AIDA64 should say API level 26 or above, which I highly doubt.
I would be cautious about the Chinese tactics/marketing. Remember about my findings from here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...#post10383686?

Does your IS have Nav? I believe they ofter an adapter\harness that fixes the Hazard button.
I really hope so, I have an email out to Rhino

Maybe they up their spoofing game, can you try one more thing to see if it's really Android 8.1. Try this, https://www.androidpolice.com/2017/1...topus-remains/
If it shows that correctly, then I guess it's really Android Oreo. Also, can you take a picture of the SYSTEM tab and CPU tab of the head unit from AIDA64, I want to see if it's really updated CPU and 4GB of correct ram (sometimes they spoof the ram too).
Lastly, how long does it take for you to boot the head unit? With the older head unit model, it takes me about 40 seconds or so before I can start touching the screen.

Takes about 8 seconds to boot, can time it later or even vid of it.

Thanks for the updates @Token1. Seems like they are going more legit now and not trying to scam with fake android versions. Now I will most likely upgrade mine, cause mine is the old px3 version and it's extremely too laggy for me.
Question, do you know if your unit has 5ghz wifi? Or does it still only connect to 2.4ghz wifi only?

The boot thing is interesting as a member in the IS specific thread of this topic recently bought an Alibaba supplied unit (not sure if px3 or the new one) and he has zero bootup, zero. Sounds to me like there is either a hidden setting or a firmware out there that keeps the unit in some sleep mode instead of turning it off.
On my unit there was a "run background processes" I turned on, but it did not affect the boot up- maybe just lets more apps stay in RAM and be snappier vs. aggressively clearing memory.
I've installed screen filter to dim the screen better and Waze because dark mode with google maps is not working on this unit (freshly updated the app too...). Hopefully the next update fixes this. But with screen filter I can't actually get into the app, I tap it and the screen fades a bit, but there isn't a way to change settings. Worse yet, it does not seem to start on boot, one has to manually enable it every startup. So I'll be looking for yet another screen dimming app. Maybe one of the flying leads is for an illumination input.
Almost seems like a FAQ could be made from these multiple threads on these units and complimentary mods to shore up their short comings. Lots of info out there in this regard. I will be much happier with the unit if it just had a few shortcomings, not a laundry list haha
