hello, quick question. I have the **** version and I'm having a small issue with it. When it's really cold the screen goes black til the car heats up. I'm thinking of trying the one you have. two concerns though. how is the sound of your compared to the factory radio? and on mine I use a 2T hard drive through usb. did you ever get your USB to work?
I faced this issue when i turned the head lights, the screen went to black instead of dimming in the cold. I fixed it by increasing the brightness of the screen. I have the **** version too.
Absolutely no, this units comes from Asia and with the currency change, customs and shipping I paid 1300 for the unit in fact. I still having the receipts from everything.
GREAT thread...thank you! Maybe I missed it, but where did you run the wires from the trunk? I've got the ribbon power cable in the trunk but that doesn't do me any good with this issue...
So I just ordered one of these units 11.8" and I've run into a few issues:
1. I was going through the settings and suddenly lost ability to use my climate controls. All buttons unresponsive. Tried everything but it's now dead. Factory Reset does not work on these units either
2. Steering Wheel controls are reversed for me, how do I cahnge it?
if anyone has experience with these units please PM me or reply to this thread. Pictures attached for reference.
It looks like most of these are the same unit, with some retailers customizing the software to correct some issues. I see many people purchased from Phoenix Android Radios (https://www.phoenixautomotiveinc.com/).
Questions for anyone who purchased through Phoenix Android Radios.
It looks like A/C Temps are in Celsius. Is there a setting to change to fahrenheit?
How is their customer service?
Any remaining issues with the software?
Do they provide a disaster recovery image?
If you restore to factory defaults, does everything still function?

There is a setting to change celsius and farenheit either in the "Sys settings" (password: 7890) or "Advanced" (password 8861).
Pretty bad to be honest. You have to be persistent. Emailed, messaged, called a total of 7 times to get some face time with a technician to solve my issues. You have to be patient
Track up and down is reversed, no one seems to be able to know how to fix it. Minor issue though.
Possibly, you'd have to call in and ask. Every software of fix they have seem to be sent through Dropbox so there's not master directory or software resource.
"restoring to factory defaults" in my experience is not possible as it doesn't reset anything. Consider anything you change to be permanent and take a picture of all your settings. Don't go changing many things at once or else you'll lose track.
