i like how it's only digital from 130-160 mph and from 0-1500 rpm but the rest is still physical... gives that nice 3D depth effect that you lose from just having a screen
When you're over the speed limit, it draws a red line around the speedometer from the speed limit up to where you are. Don't tell mmarshall, but it's fun to watch

oooh sounds almost like how the E-class will display the difference between the cruise control set speed vs your actual speed
I'm scared to ever eat or drink anything in this car.
I would be scared to sit in it with Jeans or let my kids in it. I like the Tesla white interior but I just know it would be so dirty so quick. Looks good when clean though.

The auto-start stop disable button is actually persistent in this model. If you push the button to disable the system, it remembers this setting. Newer cars built after March 2018 do not have that luck.
Been mostly driving it in eco-pro mode to see how well it does on gas. Seems to be averaging low 20's around here which is pretty decent. When you put it in sport mode and floor it, it really takes off. I'm loving this inline 6.
I usually got around 22-23 mpg in my old M340 which was AWD and I never drove it in eco mode and I also had it tuned for more power. Amazing how good the gas mileage was in that car for the power it put out.

We have the same color interior (Ivory White?) in our 2019 5 Series and initially I felt the same, but surprisingly it's not difficult to keep clean. I wear jeans all the time with no color transfer problems, and we'll occasionally eat in the car and so far, it hasn't needed any special care. The seats still look great.

Dont be, the interior is far more durable than you think. I’ve had the same color interior in previous BMWs and even jean dye transfer comes off with a baby wipe. I did put in black floor mats though.
My biggest issue with my white interior is fading and some select spots and bolster cracks. Definitely a bit more upkeep than my darker interiors on previous cars.
The guy in the Chicago area dropped his price for the hardtop to $2,000, which is tempting. I haven't responded yet.
Logistics of the whole thing will be annoying but let's see where this goes.
I have the upper hand, he can't sell the car (it's been well over a year) so it's obviously a POS, so he might as well sell the top. Buyer's market situation.
Hmm interesting. He was asking $3k initially right?
If you can get him down to $1,500 go for it.
The way I see it is the farther I have to drive and the more work on my part to purchase something, the better the deal I will need to get me excited about it.
$1,500 is good.
I'd even mention that for $1k I would be excited and for more than that I'd have to think about it.
