I agree with the 430 being better but both still suck even with clean/new/no filters.

Car is garaged so I don't need them anyway. But yeah I should check the filters or just rip them out and see.

Mine felt great. Your filters must be clogged or they were much improved in the 13 refresh. Way better than the ventilated seats in my S560.

I had cooled seats in a rental Ford Expedition. They were so cold I had to turn them off! I leave the ventilated seats on my Highlander, Tundra, and GS on all summer, but not that Expedition!

i know we've discussed this before, but there's NO WAY either my lc500 or either of the hyundai vehicles i had/have only do ventilated seats. the seats become ice cold with the cooling function turned on.

Chrysler/Dodge doesn’t do many things well but my Durango had the hottest seats/steering wheel compared to any car I’ve owned and the ventilated seats were the best I’ve had as well. From what I understand they don’t blow cold air but actually suck air in which sounds weird but actually worked very well.

Tesla seats/steering wheel are just ok, nothing great.

Lol American cars, you just can't beat them for seat heaters etc.

The illlllld Yukon, this is 10 years ago at least. We had a snow (for us) and my bottoms were all wet from sledding... not an exaggeration, after an hour of driving around the seat heater dried the pants. No joke.

The GMT900 Yukon my mom had always made me worry the thin leather was going to start burning from the heat lol. The hottest seat heaters I've ever experienced belong to the E450 convertible I had. Absolutely scorching hot which was perfect for when the top was down in 45 degree weather. Between that, the Air Scarf, and the wind deflector up I was feeling great. It had better wind management than my SL in some situations.

Oh yeah. I haven't tested them in the new Denali yet. I'm sure they're ridiculous.

Mercedes can make some killer seat heaters too, my SLs are scorchers. I like the new tech, I bet air scarf is amazing. 45 degrees is too cold for me to enjoy top down but that's awesome you can do it.

As someone who is normally quite cold, it was surprising to me that I could be comfortable. Seattle has a small community of convertible owners and we will seize dry sunny days whenever possible lol.

I agree with that, and pull through seats most certainly work better in my opinion as well. It doesn't allow stagnation etc

I actually adjusted the temp for the seats/wheels in my A8s, you can tell them what temp, time, and scale down you want them to do. I set the wheels up 7 C* to feel the same as the LS and my old trucks

Just saw the outcome of the Stellantis UAW talks from factory perspective - looks like the Pacifica is going to keep using the 9-speed ZF transmission until this generation is complete in 2028. I'm so surprised they have no plans to ditch it like they did in the Compass. The Pacifica Hybrid is keeping its transmission too, which is interesting to me only because it's not shared with anything else.

Well I did it.

Went in and bought a 2017 BMW 540i today. It's Alpine white with the ivory interior. Pictures coming later. Has 48k on it. Kept the truck, as I could never bring myself to part with it.

So far this thing is pretty neat. Has 90% of what I wanted feature-wise, i got the ventilated seats, but was unable to get the adaptive cruise control. Has HUD, parking assist, most of the safety nannies, etc.

I'll try to keep using my turn signals as long as I can.
