Forward facing cameras are wonderful even when you're not driving a big overly lifted trucks. Unfortunately, it's not always available on modern cars. I guess I'm spoiled. Not being able to see just sucks IMO.

also in my book at least coming up with 'workarounds' isn't an excuse for an inherently bad design
i think this is actually a decent metaphor lol:
sure "it works", but there's something not right here!
Its not necessarily bad design...all cars have taller front ends today than they used to for pedestrian protection. I can't see right in front of either one of my cars without a forward view camera.
So, it's 2023 and a GMC truck has a better (or better looking at least) paint job than the crown jewel of automobiles, the S-Class.
S-Class:
Denali:
You can't even really make out what I'm driving in the clear coat of the S-Class. The Yukon is like a mirror as you can see. I still can't get over how nice this thing is, and I love that it's American.
Doesn't surprise me at all, and the peel on the Mercedes varies from unit to unit and even in different areas of the car itself
My GM hater friend was stunned when I showed him the difference, and he even admitted it. He's also the one who was visibly shocked how fast it pulled up past 100 on an on-ramp lol.
These biggies are the new luxury cars IMO. It doesn't ride like a true luxury sedan but certainly well enough, and all the other shytt/capability it has makes well up for it for me at least. I noticed that the huge wheels actually make you feel the solidity of the whole truck when you hit a dip or crappy part on the interstate.... this is no way a bad thing, quite the opposite.
Make it stop. Why do people keep bringing me these.... Very fun car I got to work on that I'm certain someone from here will recognize. This one was nice and cooperative!
Dodge Stealth? Don't think I've ever seen that engine torn down even a little bit.
Either Stealth or Mitsubishi 3000GT.
Striker, you would sure have fun with the 3000GT VR4 model...a complete nightmare of mechanical/technical complexity. Twin turbos, all-wheel-drive, four-wheel steering, electronically adjustable suspension, active-aerodynamic system, spoilers that automatically pop up at 45 MPH...even an adjustable exhaust-note. This was arguably the most technically-advanced production car in the world when it debuted in the early 90s. The Stealth, the 3000GT's twin, even with the Turbos, had only some of those features, not all of them.

Looks like a nightmare to work on! Lol
Aka the opposite of easy breezy...
Lots of generous space to work in there tho...
Funny enough this is a VR4 and it actually IS easy to work on, it just looks very scary! This one was in for literally all maintenance, every single item was done to make sure it's 100%
I honestly expected a far more complex/difficult car but it's really quite friendly, nothing at all like even an A4 in terms of difficulty. I walked into this expecting it to be as complex as my A8s lol!
The BMW on the other hand is a BMW....
