‘Well if TOYOTA sold 515,000 units in the US in Q1 of 2022. And if Toyota sold 110,00 4R/Tundra and Tacoma in the same period. Add in the rest, 25-30%. I have no idea the entire number or percentage. Toyota probably sells more body on frame trucks/SUVs than Tesla sells cars in one entire year. Worldwide

Anyway. It's a low number of rwd Toyota sold as compared to it's fwd models. Ok let's move on...

Interestingly, if you just count the sporty RWD vehicles (no trucks or SUVs), its less than 2% of Toyota/Lexus sales

I don't even know why we're having this debate. Korea's best sports car is a stinger? An NSX blows the doors off that as do other Japanese sports cars. Then their build quality is infinitely better and they will last much longer.
The problem with building a vehicle like the NSX is that nobody wants to buy it from Acura. Which is why it's cancelled now so

Acura's Type S lineup currently is total joke performance wise, and their recent debacle with the Integra is a laughing stock all over the internet. I wouldn't use them as an example of "Japanese sportiness" lol.

Sorry, i converted the Toyota sales sheet to an excel format and played with the numbers. You can say that Toyota / Lexus only sells 2% sport

Which there is nothing wrong with, IMO that is. That's what other brands are for. Toyota/Lexus didn't have an EV, so I went to Ioniq and Polestar. And so far, neither have burned down or caught fire..yet

Rather have an EV in my garage. Feel just as safe for me. Oddly, the most common car fires I see are old American trucks

When I was a kid, I put a tiny bit of gas in a bottle cap and lit it with a match and almost burned our garage down. So what you experienced must have been way worse

Toyota should come out with a few TV spots. We sell boring FWD **** boxes but your garage will still be standing when you get home.
